Emerging International Music Artist Ana Ochoa Shows a Lot of Promise

Rising international singer, songwriter, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer from Colombia Ana Ochoa is turning heads in the music industry with her debut single “Listen,” which she describes as an invitation to fight for one’s dreams. She is not only aspiring to be well-known for her pop or Latin music that has a soulful vibe to it, but she also intends to be a voice of her generation and inspire others to speak up and be heard.

Though it may sound cliché, she hopes to motivate her fans to stay connected to the inner child within them, someone full of wonder and dreams. A lot of adults tend to forget about their childhood dreams when they come of age, and Ana wants to bring them back to that time when they believed in the power of their dreams enough to try something different despite the odds. To witness people see things with childlike eyes and wonder anew are things she hopes to ignite among her fans.

“Through the years, I realized that there’s something else I can do besides being behind the curtains. I realized that my voice as an artist is stronger than my voice as an engineer or as a producer. Singing on stage, sharing my stories, giving a voice that can amplify other people’s stories, feelings and experiences, makes me find my happy place, and makes me feel that it is where I’m supposed to be,” Ana explained.

Prior to launching her personal brand as a must artist, Ana has been around the music industry long enough to know what the business demands from people like her who aspire to make it big. Over the past years, she used her various experiences as a sound engineer, singer, and songwriter to enhance her skills and knowledge of the different aspects of building a solid music career. She also likes connecting with different people who have the potential to influence her craft positively. At the end of the day, leveraging existing technologies today and marketing tools to translate ideas and stories into admirable music projects make Ana one of the most promising voices in the business today.

“There is something special when you meet with people from other countries, cultures, backgrounds, and disciplines. When you share your ideas and learn to listen, adapt and transform, the world opens up to many possibilities. Your knowledge, craft and ideas go to another level. I believe that we are all colors waiting to be used to paint a beautiful piece of art or pieces on a puzzle that together create a wonderful picture. So, why should we miss that opportunity,” she shared.

The Colombia-born and raised music artist started performing music at a very young age. In her pre-teens, she got hooked on the world of DJs and music production. By the time she turned 17, she had started her degree in Sound Engineering at Universidad de San Buenaventura. She had the privilege to meet and work closely with award-winning producers, bands, and sound engineers like Diego Amorocho, Le Big Sur, Mauricio Cano, and Gabriel Rodríguez. In 2017 she enrolled in EMMAT, the Colombian affiliate of the famous Berklee College of Music, where she studied Contemporary Music. In 2020, Ana enrolled at Full Sail University, where she pursued a Master’s Degree in Entertainment Business.

Ana has a podcast titled “Selva Sonora,” which she created with her good friend and mentor, Diego Amorocho, a well-respected music composer, producer, and singer. The podcast highlights inspiring stories and experiences in the music industries of Latin America and the United States. The hosts also discuss their general knowledge of the music industry in their episodes.

Now based in Florida, Ana is expected to create waves in the US music industry as she expresses her musicality and artistry to bring inspiration to as many people as possible.
