Up-and-coming R&B music artist, seasoned songwriter, and music producer Avehre recently released his latest single titled “Circles,” included in his debut upcoming EP called Greenlight. The single is a celebration of love as the artist sends out an inspiring message to everyone to continue to trust themselves as they pursue their purpose in life passionately.
Born Brandon Avery Smith, the Chicago-raised Avehre has always known as young as six years old that he was destined to create a music career that would impact the industry significantly. His music influences began when he was singing for his church choir as a young boy, and his exposure to Gospel music, soul, and blues have been instrumental in shaping his musical stylings and songwriting gift. These musical influences, paired with his family-centered upbringing, inspired the honest and vulnerable themes of his music. By using music, known to be a universal language, Avehre is able to make an emotional connection with people.
“The EP is about going full throttle into your dreams and what you love,” explained Avehre. “Being bold, confident, sexy, and owning your spot. The single ‘Circles’ talks about a time where you’re in love and want to be closer with your partner, but are navigating the circles or ups and downs of love.”
The music world has always been Avehre’s cup of tea, having produced and written songs for several big names in the industry, including Boyz II Men and Gladys Knight. One of the songs he wrote for her won an Image Award, much to his delight. While working with her on her music video, he discovered a special inclination toward filmmaking, something that he hopes to explore further in the near future.
After several years of working behind the scenes, he is finally pursuing his own musical path by stepping out of his comfort zone to release his debut EP. When it comes to his distinct sound, he is all about combining mystery with euphoria, almost creating a cinematic universe where listeners can lose themselves by listening to the soundtrack of their lives.
Making a decision to dedicate his life to the creation of beautiful music was inherent in Avehre. Growing up, he also drew inspiration from his Aunt Sharon, who was also a singer herself. Over time, she became an influential figure in his musical journey as he looked up to her as a role model. Ultimately, Avehre’s biggest inspiration in life comes from his daughter. She drives him to be the best version of himself and create moving songs that will become his legacy to her someday.
Apart from his aunt, Avehre is also strongly influenced by the musical stylings of Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Brandy, and Imogen Heap.
At present, the promising music artist is ecstatic to be making preparations for his upcoming virtual concert series. Additionally, he will be launching his own podcast very soon. Alongside these upcoming events in his music career, Avehre is also working on launching a new artist boot camp in Hollywood and more exciting things with his company, Culture Moguls Inc.
