Adam Ness Drops “Houzkatz” Ahead of First Full-Length Album Sagittarius Volume 2

It’s hard not to notice that Adam Ness has been climbing the ladder at record speed from a distance. The fast-rising artist from Detroit, Michigan, has come a long way since his humble beginnings. He just dropped his newest single “Houzkatz” featuring R&B legend Durand Bernarr, and it’s a song that audiences are sure to relate to. Ness and Bernarr have undeniable vocal chemistry and it’s clear to see on this track. This is just a taste of what audiences can expect from Ness, as he is gearing up to launch his first-ever full-length project called Sagittarius Volume 2, which will take music lovers through an unfiltered, fiery, and wild journey through an outspoken Sagittarius’ mind.

Adam Ness grew up in Detroit for most of his life but would later move to Chicago in 2011 to pursue music professionally. Before making the move, he spent some time with the gospel singer Kierra Sheard, singing with her for six years until he decided it was time to sprout his own wings and soar. Growing up, Adam sang in church choirs, where he believed he could develop his strong musical ability.

“The best singers come from church, and I am no exception,” explains the artist. “but knew I didn’t want to pursue a musical career in the gospel genre.”

Adam’s stage name comes from the word “finesse,” which speaks of intricacy, refinement, and expertise. Adam picked up the alias to give people an idea of what makes him stand out—a dedication to finesse and musical excellence. Adam’s music moves away from the canned approaches of today’s more popular content and tries to push the boundaries of musicality while also providing a solid entertainment value.

For as long as he can remember, music has always been the motive for Adam. When he was younger, he would spend hours cooped up in a room learning to play the piano and write music. All the while, he played out alternate realities and lifetimes and brought the characters of his songs to life through melody and words. Adam has also taken dancing seriously as of late and hopes to incorporate choreography into some of his upcoming performances.

The music of Adam Ness carries a strong R&B undertone with a combination of lush harmonies, robust grooves, and a lot of lyrical depth. The musical aficionado finds joy in telling stories through his original songs and promises something fresh at every turn. Some of Adam’s past songs include “Blush,” “Have a Good Time,” “Pretty Boy,” “How Long Will You Hold Me?” “Abrasive,” “Harlem Knight,” and so much more. Now, most recently, “Houzkatz” featuring R&B singer Durand Bernarr showcases Ness’ talents on a whole new level. On Spotify, he currently has a strong listenership, averaging about 4,000 monthly listens. His top track, “Blush,” has now surpassed 300,000 listens and continues to grow.

As far as what’s next, Adam Ness promises a lot with Sagittarius Volume 2, which will dive into themes like young adulthood.

“I’m sharing some of my experiences and giving a closer look into what it’s like to be led by fire,” adds Ness. “All of this will come from a textbook model Sagittarius.”

Through his music, Adam Ness aims to destroy stereotypes of how the world defines success. Instead, he believes that happiness should always be the critical determinant and speaks that aloud through his music and life.
