Anqi’s career is a testament to her pioneering spirit and innovative approach to design. For instance, her collaboration with professors at Cornell University exemplifies her expertise in designing AI-driven solutions tailored to address real-world challenges. Working closely with professors and researchers at Cornell University, Anqi’s published her paper, “A Second Voice” on ACM CHI, one of the most prestigious Human-computer Interaction and Technology conferences, in 2022.
This paper investigates the opportunities and challenges for interactive voice assistants to support home health aides from a design and human-computer interaction perspective, and proposes the potential of using emergent AI design to transform the healthcare industry. In this publication, Anqi demonstrated her ability to leverage cutting-edge technology to revolutionize patient care, and her capabilities of pioneering industry-leading design research in the domain of AI. In her own words, “I like being autonomous in designing and researching, just like how AI shaped design to a new stage. They serve as different ways for me to render my thoughts and make the world a better place.”
During her tenure at an auto startup in Shanghai, Anqi led the AI-powered voice assistant design for the intelligent in-car systems. She crafted design experience on VR interfaces, and reimagined the ways users can interact with their vehicles.
Her designs, showcased at the international auto exhibition in China (one of the largest exhibitions held in the auto industry), received wide accolades for their ingenuity and sophistication.
Additionally, Anqi’s collaboration with MITRE underscored her commitment to leveraging design as a tool for social impact. By delivering a data marketplace ownership design solution powered by AI/ML tools, she addressed pressing societal issues such as data security and protection, and supported MITRE’s nationwide customers through her innovation.
