How The Realities Of Artificial Intelligence Will Shape Our Future – Mo Gawdat Talks To Top British Podcaster Ellie McKay

In a new episode of On A Mission Podcast, host Ellie McKay welcomes Mo Gawdat, a world-leading AI expert, a global innovator and the former Chief Business Officer of Google X.

As someone who has experienced the development of AI first-hand, he shares his exclusive insights on the potential dangers and benefits of AI technology in a brand new interview. Ellie and Mo discuss the urgency of addressing the ethical and societal implications of AI, warning that the rapid advancements could pose a significant threat to humanity.

Mo says as time passes, his tone changes with AI technology, and he warns it will be a threat to humanity, “The core of our understanding of artificial intelligence is it’s a singularity. Singularity is a situation where the rules of the game change to the point that you can no longer predict the outcome of the game. So, AI being a singularity means that AI could be a dystopia that really destroys humanity as we know it. Or it could be a utopia that really creates an amazing dream life for all of us, and the difference between them is the actions we will take. The difference between them is not how AI will develop. AI is now on track to develop. It’s inevitable. It’s going to be part of our lives; it’s already part of our lives, and our capitalism is going to prevent us from stopping it. So, it could be a threat. And I would probably say the more time passes, I change my tone a little and say it will be a threat”.

Mo predicts how shopping will look in the not-too-distant future – and the incredible reality of being able to create and buy something literally out of thin air; he said, “There could be a time not in the distant future, in your lifetime and mine, where you walk to one tree and pick an apple and walk to another tree and pick an iPhone, the cost of making an iPhone from a molecular point of view, if we figure out nanophysics to the point that we need to which, we’re close.

Believe it or not, most people don’t understand how far we are on some of that science fiction, but if we figure out nanophysics enough, we could literally formulate anything out of thin air, and what do we need to do that? Do we need more intelligence? But that same intelligence that’s capable of creating something out of thin air is also capable of destroying something out of thin air.”

He also says that our jobs will forever be redefined – and the disruption AI will have on the fabric of our society. He warns that we will see bad things with AI and how it will be very disruptive to the fabric of our society, “Today I am more and more convinced that the Genie is out of the bottle, Okay, and that we will end up in a place where there will be some bad things. Bad things that are not science fiction-like. This is not Skynet or iRobot. This is not. I don’t think we will ever see that. But bad things are very disruptive to the fabric of our society. So, my tendency is to believe that jobs are going to be redefined beyond recognition. And accordingly, income, and accordingly purpose”.

Throughout the thought-provoking conversation, Ellie McKay and Mo Gawdat discuss ultimately how humanity must be vigilant and responsible for developing and delaying artificial intelligence.

Twenty-one Software and Tools for Thorough Email Tracking in 2023

Modern email marketing is one of the most effective marketing strategies available. Whether you’re spreading the word, building brand awareness, or launching new features, you can always reach out to potential customers via email. But getting full messaging capabilities is another matter. Most B2B companies monitor these marketing indicators using tools that allow you to get information about track who visits your website. However, just knowing that someone opened your email is not enough. You need to know where a person is in the buyer’s journey. This does not provide a contextual understanding of email, but the role of email in a large marketing project is significant. Let’s say you know that someone will open your email. How to put this advice into practice? They don’t know what links they’ve clicked on or if they’ve ever interacted with your brand. Without context, they’re just numbers. However, effective email tracking tools are cheap, and what works for you may not work for other companies. The right software depends on your team’s needs and current technology gaps. That’s why instead of email in the email vulnerability monitoring toolkit, developers offer numerous marketing tools to help you categorize emails, resulting in more transparent and effective email marketing campaigns and higher sales whenever possible.

Tools for opening emails and monitoring communication with your business’s customers

Marketing and sales software, including email and mail tracking tools, is all about using tools to evaluate the quality of your mailing list and attract new customers, which in turn provides the ability to run various effective marketing campaigns with powerful analytics. But first, let’s talk about why you should get in touch with email tracking tools. Website visitor detection tools that show B2B companies whose companies are visiting their websites, company information, where visitors are coming from, and what they are viewing on their website. Such tools can detect IP addresses and match your company names, making them a great tool for configuring your network. If you’re wondering why software companies are talking about email and email tracking tools to identify website visitors, it’s because of customer emails, because email marketing can increase your ROI. Let’s say you have an email marketing campaign to increase demo signups. Email trackers notify you when users open your email and click on a call to action.

Can I see more information?

What if you could see all the pages on your site that you visited after clicking on a call to action? What if you could be notified when customers return to your site? Affordable marketing tools give B2B companies access to all of this and more, as effective email tracking tools can bridge the gap and create solid communication with customers through informative marketing efforts. For most B2B sales and marketers, email campaigns and follow-up marketing are an important part of the buyer’s journey, and it’s your job to help them move from visitor to customer.

Email open rate and engagement in 2023

By knowing who opens your e-mail and who doesn’t, you can delete inactive e-mails, and send marketing e-mails only to subscribers who are interested in receiving this information, because this is your target group of users, it allows you to create e-mail distribution lists that are as much as possible effective, etc. It is with the help of email tracking services that you can significantly improve the marketing campaigns that you conduct through your email, which in turn provides an effective strategy for email marketing and the development of your business. These tools do much more than just send emails and provide email read notifications. They also show how many times the email was opened and whether it was forwarded.

Why Would Companies Opt to Outsource Data Entry Services?

Introduction to Data Entry Outsourcing

In the dynamic landscape of modern business, data is the lifeblood that fuels decision-making, strategy formulation, and operational efficiency. As companies grapple with an ever-increasing volume of data, the question arises: should data entry tasks be managed in-house or outsourced to specialized data entry services providers? This article delves into the compelling reasons why businesses are increasingly choosing to outsource their data entry needs.

Definition and Scope

Outsourcing data entry involves entrusting the meticulous task of inputting, organizing, and managing data to external service providers. This encompasses a wide array of functions, including data transcription, data cleansing, data mining, and cataloging, among others.

Evolution of Outsourcing in Business

The practice of outsourcing has evolved from being a cost-cutting measure to a strategic business decision. Companies now recognize that outsourcing data entry services can confer numerous advantages that extend far beyond mere financial savings.

Cost Efficiency and Resource Allocation

At the heart of outsourcing lies the promise of cost efficiency, a factor that continues to be a primary motivator for businesses seeking to streamline their operations.

Economies of Scale

Outsourcing firms are equipped with the infrastructure and manpower to handle large volumes of data with precision and speed. This economy of scale allows them to offer their services at a fraction of the cost that would be incurred if the same tasks were performed in-house.

Reducing Overhead Costs

Maintaining an in-house data entry team entails significant overhead costs, including salaries, benefits, office space, and equipment. Outsourcing mitigates these expenses, enabling companies to allocate resources where they are needed most.

Specialized Expertise and Skill Set

Data entry is a specialized discipline that demands a specific skill set and expertise, which may not always be readily available within an organization.

Trained Data Entry Professionals

Outsourcing partners often employ skilled professionals who are trained in the intricacies of data entry. These experts are well-versed in handling diverse data formats, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every task.

Handling Complex Data Formats

In an era where data comes in various formats, from handwritten documents to digital records, outsourcing providers are equipped with the tools and techniques to process even the most complex data sets efficiently.

Focus on Core Competencies

Outsourcing data entry liberates companies from the operational minutiae, allowing them to concentrate on their core competencies and strategic objectives.

Allotting Resources to Strategic Functions

By delegating data entry tasks, businesses can redirect their in-house resources towards functions that directly contribute to their value proposition. This could involve activities such as product development, marketing initiatives, or customer relationship management.

Streamlining Business Operations

Removing the burden of data entry from internal teams streamlines operations, leading to enhanced productivity and efficiency across the organization. This, in turn, translates into a more agile and competitive business.

Scalability and Flexibility

The ebbs and flows of business demand a nimble approach to resource allocation. Outsourcing data entry provides a level of flexibility that can be a game-changer in a rapidly changing market.

Adapting to Fluctuating Workloads

Seasonal fluctuations, product launches, or sudden spikes in data input needs can strain an in-house team. Outsourcing partners are equipped to handle these variations, ensuring that operations remain smooth and uninterrupted.

Meeting Seasonal Demands

During peak seasons, such as holidays or special promotions, the demand for data entry services may surge. Outsourcing providers can quickly scale their resources to meet these demands, preventing any backlog or delays.

Data Security and Confidentiality

The handling of sensitive information is a paramount concern for businesses in an era of increasing cyber threats and privacy regulations.

Implementing Robust Security Measures

In an age of constant innovation, the world of education is undergoing a profound transformation, one where technology is playing a pivotal role in reshaping the learning landscape. To shed light on this fascinating evolution, we turned to an expert in the field, Judah Karkowsky.

With a rich background in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Information Services, and a passion for improving learning frameworks, Judah is well-positioned to offer insights into the promise of educational technology.

The Digital Revolution in Education

Educational technology, often abbreviated as EdTech, encompasses a wide array of tools and strategies aimed at enhancing the learning experience. From interactive online courses to virtual reality simulations, the possibilities seem limitless. According to Judah Karkowsky, the driving force behind this digital revolution is empowerment. He states, “Educational technology isn’t just about gadgets; it’s about empowerment.”

Breaking Down Geographic Barriers

One of the most remarkable aspects of educational technology is its ability to transcend geographical constraints. No longer are students bound by their physical location or the availability of quality educational institutions nearby. With online learning platforms and digital resources, individuals from diverse backgrounds can access the same high-quality education. Judah emphasizes, “EdTech has the potential to bridge the education gap across geographies.”

Personalized Learning

Personalization is a cornerstone of effective education, and technology has opened up exciting avenues for tailoring learning experiences to individual needs. Adaptive learning platforms, for example, adjust the difficulty of content based on a student’s performance, ensuring they are neither bored nor overwhelmed. Judah underscores the significance of this, saying, “Educational technology tailors learning experiences to individual needs.”

Overcoming Challenges with EdTech

While the promise of educational technology is immense, it’s not without its challenges. Judah Karkowsky acknowledges that integrating technology into education can be a complex endeavor. He believes that addressing these challenges is crucial to realizing the full potential of EdTech.

Digital Inclusion

To harness the benefits of educational technology, it’s imperative to ensure digital inclusion. Not all students have equal access to devices and the internet, which can create disparities in their educational experiences. Judah comments, “We must work toward closing the digital divide to make EdTech truly inclusive.”

Quality Assurance

With the proliferation of online courses and platforms, maintaining the quality of education becomes a concern. Judah Karkowsky advises, “It’s essential to establish rigorous quality assurance mechanisms for EdTech content. This includes peer reviews, standardized assessments, and ongoing evaluation to guarantee that students receive a high-standard education.”

Teacher Training

Educators play a pivotal role in the success of EdTech implementation. Proper training is essential to equip teachers with the skills to effectively integrate technology into their teaching methods. Judah states, “Investing in teacher training is an investment in the success of EdTech. We need to empower educators to make the most of these tools.”

The Future of Education

Looking ahead, Judah Karkowsky envisions a future where educational technology continues to evolve and shape the way we learn. He emphasizes that the potential for EdTech is limitless, from AI-driven tutors to immersive virtual reality classrooms. “The future of education is exciting,” he says. “We’re on the cusp of a transformative era, and it’s up to us to harness the power of technology to create better learning experiences for all.”

Final Thoughts

Educational technology is not merely a trend; it’s a powerful force driving positive change in education. As Judah Karkowsky aptly puts it, “EdTech isn’t just about gadgets; it’s about empowerment.” It’s about breaking down barriers, personalizing learning, and opening doors to quality education for all, regardless of where they are. While challenges exist, they are opportunities for growth and improvement.

As we continue to embrace the promise of educational technology, we must address issues of digital inclusion, quality assurance, and teacher training to ensure a bright future for education. With experts like Judah Karkowsky leading the way, we can look forward to a world where learning is more accessible, engaging, and effective than ever before.

Passwarden Review: Pros & Cons, Pricing and More

Image commercially licensed from Unsplash

Passwarden is a password manager introduced by KeepSolid in 2020. It operates on a freemium model and boasts a broad set of features.

Let’s explore the capabilities of this password manager.

CORE FEATURES

Even if you employ strong, computer-generated passwords, they can become susceptible over time. The Security Dashboard of Passwarden ensures you remember to update your passwords periodically, offering a comprehensive review of your login details. It also helps you identify which passwords have been duplicated, are frail, or might be at risk. Furthermore, you can discern if any account has faced a security breach or data exposure.

What stood out most to me in Passwarden’s offerings was the Duress Mode, which adds an enhanced security dimension. In situations where you might be coerced into revealing your vault, you can use a duress password instead of the main one. This action unlocks a decoy account, ensuring your primary vault or specific sections remain hidden and untouched.

Passwarden’s hallmark is its vault system, functioning akin to computer folders. These vaults can house anything: login credentials, personal details, encrypted notes, and more. This structure not only keeps your data organized but also permits secure vault sharing. So, sharing specific account details with a team or family becomes hassle-free, ensuring they only access the shared vault.

The software also excels in password generation. Creating a new password is easy, and users have flexibility over character inclusions and password length.

Passwarden Review: Pros & Cons, Pricing and more

When it comes to data security, Passwarden’s password manager certainly stands as a secure choice. At its core, it employs top-tier 256-bit_AES and EC p-384 encryption methods. Moreover, each password is encrypted right on your device, ensuring that the blend of robust encryption and on-device protection renders your data inaccessible to potential threats or even to KeepSolid’s team. Users have the option to fortify their Passwarden vault using 2FA or biometric verification.

In conclusion, Passwarden operates with a rigid privacy framework. Most critically, they vow never to disclose or peddle your information to external entities under any circumstance.

Passwarden is available on all leading operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Additionally, this password manager can be utilized as a browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera.

The design of Passwarden remains consistent across devices, including browser extensions.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Passwarden offers round-the-clock support through email and live chat. On the company’s website, you’ll find a concise FAQ section along with an extensive collection of user guides.

PRICING

Passwarden is available for individual purchase or as a component of the MonoDefense security package. This comprehensive bundle integrates the password manager with additional tools including a VPN, a SmartDNS, DNS Firewall and an Authenticator.

On its own, Passwarden has both a complimentary plan and two upgraded options: Personal and Family. The free tier encompasses most of Passwarden’s capabilities, excluding password sharing, an audit of passwords, and dark web alerts. Moreover, it is restricted to a single device. Priced at an annual rate of $19.99, the paid version provides considerable value compared to its market rivals.

The Family tier, priced at $39.99 annually, encompasses everything in the Personal plan. The primary distinction between them is the Family’s provision for 7 individual accounts, each with infinite device access. For peace of mind, all advanced tiers come with a 30-day refund policy.

Our verdict: Passwarden offers a seamless experience for individuals and small teams. The two-factor authentication and military-grade 256-bit AES and EC P-384 encryption protocols boost its security, and vault-sharing ability makes collaboration efficient. Additionally, it provides sophisticated features such as Dark Web surveillance and Duress Mode, which equip users with a robust strategy to protect confidential data.
