The Ward Law Group, a Florida-based public law firm, has just opened its new office in Manhattan, New York. Located on Fifth Avenue in the heart of New York City, the new office has been serving the local Hispanic community for several months. With its corporate headquarters in Miami Lakes and an office in Kissimmee, Orlando, The Ward Law Group plans to replicate its success in Florida and reach more people seeking legal services for personal injury cases.

In New York City, Hispanic immigrants represent one of the largest categories of residents. Hispanic immigrants make up over 31% of the city’s foreign population. These residents mainly reside in Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Spanish Harlem, with 72% of them reporting that they have limited English proficiency, making them at a disadvantage when experiencing legal difficulties.

From the firm’s success in Florida, The Ward Law Group understands how many Hispanic immigrants need Spanish-speaking legal services. This gap in the market motivated the company to expand to New York City, as the area is known as home to many Hispanic immigrants.

The team envisions the expansion as an excellent opportunity for The Ward Law Group to take its accomplishments to the next level. However, they also understand that building awareness for the company is paramount. This is why the team will be focusing on educating local communities that may be suffering in silence.

Founders and Managing Partners, Jany Martínez-Ward and Gregory Ward have led the firm to rapid success since its establishment in 2012. Jany deeply understands the struggles of Hispanic migrants. When Jany was 14 years old, she immigrated to the United States with her mother and young brother from Cuba.  Carrying only a backpack and her infant brother she crossed into the US. Due to language barriers, Jany and her brother were put in foster care for some time before being reunited with their mother. This event and other experiences inspired Jany to protect her community by providing education and legal representation.

Now over a decade since beginning her practice with her husband Gregory, Jany has helped thousands of families and given back to underprivileged families domestically as well as in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela. Jany has been named as one of the top attorneys in Florida for her dedication to clients.

Gregory Ward is an experienced attorney and entrepreneur who has been crucial in steering The Ward Law Group to success. The combination of Jany and Greg’s leadership and expertise in law has allowed them to obtain over $500 million in settlements for their clients in recent years.

Greg’s previous experience working for insurance companies gives him unmatched insight into how personal claims work and what must be done to ensure clients receive justice.

The Ward Law Group has a skilled team of attorneys who offer one-on-one support for clients. The firm specializes in various claims including work place, car, truck, bicycle, motorcycle, pedestrian, and slip-and-fall accidents. Individuals dealing with traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries can also put their trust in the firm’s team. All interested clients are given a no-obligation consultation where they can share details about their situation with the team.

As The Ward Law Group establishes itself in New York, the firm has plans to expand into New Jersey, Texas and other major centers for Hispanic immigrants. Jany and Greg see these moves as critical for ensuring that people understand their rights and what compensation they are entitled to.
