1. Reflecting on your early life and career, what were the key moments or influences that sparked your interest in architecture and interior design? Can you share the initial steps you took to enter the field and how your journey has evolved over the years?

From a young age, I was deeply inspired by the natural beauty around me. Growing up surrounded by nature allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for organic forms and the harmonious integration of natural elements into design. This passion led me to discover architecture and interior design to express creativity. A key moment was realizing that architecture could be a powerful medium to tell stories and evoke emotions. My career has evolved from creating traditional spaces to pushing the boundaries of design, particularly with projects like Leaf Endearing Residences, where I challenge conventional norms and explore the harmony between nature and structure.

2. What are the fundamental values and principles that underpin your design philosophy at Leaf Endearing Residences and L-Ments? How do these guiding principles shape the way you approach each project and ensure a consistent and distinctive style?

At Leaf Endearing Residences and L-Ments, our design philosophy is deeply rooted in authenticity, respect for nature, and a commitment to innovation. We believe that architecture should not only be beautiful but also meaningful, reflecting its environment. This means integrating natural elements, embracing sustainability, and ensuring that each project is a true representation of its surroundings and the people who will inhabit it. These principles guide every decision we make, from the materials we choose to the way we design spaces that feel both timeless and original. Our focus on artistic expression, beauty, and functionality ensures that every project stands out with a unique yet consistent style.

3. Designing spaces that are both creative and functional can be challenging. How do you strike a balance between innovative design and practical solutions? Can you provide examples of how you integrate both aspects into your projects?

Balancing creativity with functionality is undoubtedly one of the main challenges in design. For me, it starts with understanding the client’s needs and the specific context of each project. I believe that innovation doesn’t have to come at the expense of practicality. For example, at Leaf Endearing Residences, we use organic forms and sustainable materials that not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also serve practical purposes, such as improving energy efficiency and creating harmonious living spaces. In our projects at L-Ments, we design custom furniture that fits perfectly into each room’s design, ensuring the result is both striking and functional.

4. Out of all the projects you have worked on, which one do you believe best represents the unique, artistic, and authentic style of L-Ments? What aspects of this project make it stand out, and why do you consider it a defining example of your work?

Leaf Endearing Residences is perhaps the most defining example of our work at L-Ments. This project stands out because it encapsulates our commitment to merging art with nature, creating spaces that are not only luxurious but also deeply connected to their surroundings. The architecture is inspired by the natural landscape of Playa Valentín, and every design decision reflects a respect for the environment. What makes this project unique is the way we have integrated sustainability with artistic expression: every element, from the choice of materials to the layout of the spaces, is designed to enhance the natural beauty of the location while offering a luxurious experience. 

5. The field of design is ever evolving, requiring constant creativity and innovation. What strategies or practices do you employ to stay inspired and keep your designs fresh and forward-thinking? How do you keep up with the latest trends and technologies?

Staying inspired is essential in our field, and I believe that nature is the greatest source of creativity. I often spend time in natural environments to find new ideas and perspectives that can be applied to design. Additionally, traveling and experiencing different cultures and architectural styles also fuels my creativity. As for keeping up with trends and technologies, I am constantly researching and experimenting with new materials and sustainable practices. We also collaborate with artisans and expert innovators in various fields to ensure our designs remain cutting-edge in both aesthetics and functionality. This combination of natural inspiration and technological advancement keeps our work fresh and forward-thinking.
