The digital space connects people like no other, giving visionaries a platform to share their game-changing methods and strategies or even just their inspiring stories to empower others. Never being one of the avid social media users himself, Jeremy Soh’s perception of the online world eventually shifted when he discovered its power to help him reach more people and change lives through health and fitness techniques, especially amidst the pandemic.
The COVID-19 crisis took away people’s liberty to go out for runs or go to gyms to work out. Stuck at home, many turned back to old, unhealthy habits. Jeremy aims to break those behaviors off of his audience along with his team at Slegion Coaching. Originally named SohAesthetic, named after his last name, the company provides online coaching, tailored nutrition guidance, personalized tailor programs, and personal training customized to fit their clients’ lifestyles without requiring them to use any gym equipment at home.
On a mission to build a robust brand, Jeremy built Slegion around four key pillars–lead, inspire, empower, and embody. As a company, they aim to lead people through life’s challenges by creating a blueprint based on their own experiences in the industry. They also want to inspire others to make a change, not only within themselves but to create a lasting impact on others. Slegion is also built to empower people with the tools they need to achieve their goals, such as equipping them with the right education. Lastly, the company aims to help old, current, and future clients embody its vision of helping individuals reach their full potential by facing their own battles and struggles and unleashing the best they can be.
Slegion symbolizes the superpower hidden deep within everyone. “We all live our lives in our own world, our own perspective, and this is what truly makes us the superheroes of our own story. Everyone will have their own battles and struggles. Without this, we would not have the growth we want because no one develops character without going through tough times. Tough times make people stronger,” the CEO shared.
Jeremy was studying at university until he did his first bodybuilding show, sparking a new dream: running his own business where he could help people achieve their health and fitness goals. He realized that guiding people to be their best selves, physically and mentally, was way more rewarding than working for any other business.
Jeremy worked to build his experience and obtain knowledge. Finally, after doing nine amateur bodybuilding shows and upskilling once a year in the industry to hone his skills and equip his mind with strategies, he was able to kickstart his company and lay the first foundations for his vision–leveraging on the power of technology and bringing the world of health and fitness digital to reach more people from virtually any part of the globe.
“I started as a personal trainer working in gyms, early mornings from four and working split shifts. As the years went on, I realized that the majority of people in this day and age have had some sort of experience in health and fitness and that have given up on their goals. Through online coaching, we can help navigate through individuals’ daily routines, which we never had this sort of contrite with face-to-face PT. We are now able to help individuals build the right habits and behavior to help them achieve their goals,” the visionary said.
Jeremy has successfully built Slegion to focus on the needs of their clients and change their lives for the better, equipping them with strategies they can implement long-term even after working with Jeremy and his team and continue getting results and achieve their goals. In the founder’s words, “It’s not always a weight loss challenge. It’s about making the right changes to their habits and behavior to attain longevity, and I hope this will translate into all areas of their lives.”
