Prince Organization Bringing Communities a Second Chance at Life With a Groundbreaking Pledge

Los Angeles-based hotel empire Prince Organization has made history after its CEO and Social Entrepreneur, Sunil “Sunny” Tolani, signed the White House Fair Chance pledge, which looks to utilize business strategies and resources to unlock all kinds of potentials for community betterment. The pledge looks to improve employment rates by providing jobs to the needy and deserving and train and develop them to become more competent professionals in the future.

The local community is any tourism industry’s best bet for market growth. Most tycoons fail to see the potential employment pool they have among the homeless, troubled young adults, formerly incarcerated convicts, and those suffering from disabilities, mental illness, and addictions. Many of these societal members have been shunned because of their background, but Sunil sees opportunity where most might label as a massive waste.

Prince Organization has spent years providing underprivileged people with training, support, and work, improving human and societal well-being, rather than solely maximizing profits. Many of their beneficiaries have built long-term skills and career paths with them. The direct result has been greater economic sufficiency and respect in society with upward mobility and greater opportunity. When more people contribute their fair share of taxes positively, everybody wins.

Many women resort to prostitution when they run away from their homes due to abuse to support themselves, and later on, police arrest them, putting them in detention centers. Today a growing number of sexually exploited girls and young women are being rehabilitated instead of incarcerated because of changes in how law enforcement officials handle prostitution.

“Everyone deserves a second chance,” shares Sunil Tolani. “We’re putting them back on the track of life, love, health, prosperity, helping them find jobs. I want to take a chance. But not just taking a chance, also changing a life, and not just one life but also their family. The ripple effects are incredible. The emphasis on work is strategic—Jobs for a Future. Work is ennobling as there’s no such thing as a job that doesn’t bring dignity. Jobs create peace in the family and elevate the community as they get a new life full of positivity.”

By signing the White House Fair Chance Pledge, Sunil and Prince Organization look to empower the community and stand up for social justice. Recognizing that this is needed now more than ever, especially during these turbulent times of social unrest, the award-winning hotelier has put his words into action by further ramping the company’s development programs.

At Prince Organization, their human resource department aims to avoid pre-judgment with a job application. It believes in giving everyone a second chance. “We have hired team members who got on the wrong side of the law, who were in prison, corrections, halfway houses,” adds Tolani. “Now they are respectful citizens, model employees contributing positively to the community and society.” Many of Prince Organization’s beneficiaries have gone on to become contributing citizens who demonstrate exceptional turnarounds, making families, friends, and probation proud of them.

The business of second chances is everybody’s business. We need to find the moral imperative as a society to secure places in our workforce for those who just need a chance to prove themselves, and it must be part of our collective response to keep our streets safe and our communities healthy.” further adding My father says “A person becomes a better person through other people. “We’re putting them back on the track of life, love, health, prosperity, helping them find jobs. I want to take a chance.’ But not just taking a chance, also changing a life, and not just one life but also their family. The ripple effects are incredible. The emphasis on work is strategic—Jobs for a Future. Work is ennobling as there’s no such thing as a job that doesn’t bring dignity. Jobs create peace in the family and elevates the community as they get a new life full of positivity.

The company believes that people with criminal records who have served their time and paid their dues to society deserve a second chance. A few things are as crucial for people trying to rejoin society as having a job. Many of those hired have been dedicated employees who have risen through the company’s ranks.

Businesses have a great potential to improve the communities all around them, and Prince Organization plays its part by providing income-generating opportunities to those who need it most. To learn more about the social enterprise, visit Prince Organization’s Facebook page.
