10. Sun Hongbin

Sun Hongbin is a United States citizen of Chinese origin who has most of his business and real estate investments in his home country of China. He is worth over $9 billion and is the founder of Sunac China Holdings, one of China’s largest real estate developers. His real estate business focuses on large-scale, high-end, and medium-scale residential properties. In 2017, he made the news for purchasing Wanda Group’s hotel and tourism portfolio for $9.3 billion, making it the second biggest real estate transaction in China’s history.
