NY Weekly’s 10 Coaches of 2021

Statistics reveal that there are currently over 55,000 business coaches in the world. The rising number of professionals entering the industry as coaches can be attributed to the fact that even the most seasoned CEOs, entrepreneurs, and executives know that they can perform better with an expert behind them. Coaches have been pivotal to ensuring that professionals reach their goals and achieve their maximum potential. But the job is not for anyone. A coach needs to be strategic enough in creating strategies for his clients, treating their goals as theirs. Today, despite the rising number of coaches in the field, the cream of the crop still rise above the others and make it to the top.

4. April Custodio

As founder and CEO of House of Talent, April Custodio emphasizes that running a successful company is more than business. We asked how she was given the nickname “Coach,” She replied, “I consider my clients, employees, and vendors as my team because we work around the clock together as a unit. I do my best to be a sounding board on and off the field (so to speak) because unlocking their potential and helping others achieve their development objectives ensures that I am evolving leaders and not just employees. If we have hills to climb, I will not only challenge and support them, but I will help my team conquer the climb and be able to embrace and master the process so we can continue to defeat any obstacles we may have. I promote gratitude for the journey which I feel is the foundation to the growth of any role.”
