Many people think that lawyers are born into money and privilege. However, that is not the case for Adam Hussain, who started from Bradford, and got to where he is today, a lawyer and the founder of Adam Prudens Law, through hard work, determination, and the backing of his father, Ibrar Hussain.

“Reflecting on my dad’s life, I used to think about the entrepreneurship lessons he taught me. He came to the UK from Pakistan with nothing and built a business in retail bedding that kept him quite busy. Eventually, he grew it into an asset that soon awarded me opportunities to fund charities abroad, undertake international placements, and build crucial business connections.”

When Adam Hussain learned about the law in a comfy classroom during his pre-qualifying period, he wanted to experience it first-hand in an underdeveloped country. He knew that Cape Town, South Africa was one of the most dangerous cities in the world known for its high levels of crime but still decided to give this new adventure a shot because there were people who needed help.

Adam Hussain then went above and beyond in the name of charity. He managed to raise money through the support of his father’s network, which he used for distribution of large amounts of food like tinned vegetables and rice when he visited Cape Town, South Africa.

Alongside this charitable effort, Adam Hussain is a youth centre counsellor in South Africa. who has found his calling in helping troubled youngsters avoid becoming homeless and a ward of the state. He not only supported them to stop committing crimes but also helped clear up any records associated with previous crimes where possible – all so that these youths could get back on track. Adam took inspiration from his personal and academic background, remembering that teachers and organisations are fundamentally not always welcoming and accepting of those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Working with street children in South Africa was one of Adam’s most satisfying experiences. It is hard not to feel compassion for them when you see how much happiness sticks can give someone who has been through so many bad things.

Adam Prudens Law is now open to the public offering free pro bono legal support to those who cannot afford help otherwise and has now established itself to operate internationally. He does not require clients to come from wealthy backgrounds. As he grows the organisation, he asks that future legal employees have the determination to change the world.

The rise of Adam Prudens Law under the leadership of Adam Hussain cannot be credited only to the quality of its offerings, but also to the dedication that Proctor and Hobbs Solicitors have administered in training, teaching and coaching. This Solicitors firm always work toward representing Bradford’s populations and using their reach to create a positive impact for the community.

Against all odds, Adam Hussain has built an impressive career and business model for himself through the support of his father and the Proctor and Hobbs Solicitors team. What started as a journey to prove his doubters wrong has turned into a lifelong mission to help others achieve their dreams. Adam’s story gives hope to those feeling discouraged or struggling to achieve their goals.

“I can’t stress enough how important I think it is that parents continue to contribute to invest in their children. One day, I hope to be in a position to give back to my father in its entirety and see him live an enriching lifestyle that he has tried to give to me” says Adam.

He explains that many people reach out to him on social media saying they want to follow in his footsteps. “I’m committed to help them follow their dreams, like so many people have helped me. I genuinely see the value of hard work and encourage those who want to be lawyers to speak with me”.
