Meet The Powerhouse Behind Divine Healing By D – Healer And Podcast Creator, Davina Zarnighian

Podcast host, speaker, teacher, and spiritual healer, with a broad range of healing modalities at her disposal, Davina Zarnighian is best known for her expertise in combining Medical Intuition and Reiki in serving clients. When asked about a good starting place for someone interested in spiritual growth, Zarnighian says, “The first step is to be mindful of your surroundings, whom you share your energy with, and the people in your inner circle. The key is to live your life as your most authentic self. By accepting that and investing time, energy, and discipline, you too can get there.”

Zarnighian recommends finding a mentor or a community that will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to learn, share ideas, and ask questions without fear of criticism. In keeping with this recommendation, she created her own network of healing practitioners and spiritual seekers she could lean on and learn from. “I don’t have to have all of the answers,” says Zarnighian. “My supportive network provides information, validation, and confirmation when I ask for their input.” Many of these professionals have been guests on her Divine Healing by Davina podcast, which boasts almost 90 episodes on all major platforms on topics related to nearly every healing modality under the sun. 

When asked about all the things she has learned from her podcast guests, Zarnighian responds, “I can’t find words to express how fulfilling it has been to have a group of people I can reach out to on any given day. When my clients and loved ones suffer from health and personal issues beyond my scope, I can connect them to professionals in my healing network who I deeply admire and respect.”

Zarnighian’s website reveals a broad range of expertise in several healing modalities, but her greatest strength is her ability to pair Medical Intuition and Reiki healing. Often in her sessions with clients, she picks up on medical issues that doctors are struggling to diagnose. She provides clients with notes on what she sees and feels energetically. When her clients return that information to their doctors, they often use her instructions to arrive at the proper diagnosis and medications that set them firmly on a path to recovery. 

When Zarnighian connects with a client, she asks if they have done Reiki before and makes sure they know what to expect. She describes how she will be connecting with their energy and asks them to remain still, calm, and relaxed. She assures them she will share her findings with them afterward and explains how common it is to feel tired, have stomach upset, and need to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. She asks clients to hold their questions until after the session, then spends a few minutes with each chakra while holding the intention to heal them. She finishes by sweeping the chakras once again, then closes the channel and begins discussing what she has seen and felt in their energy.

“I prefer knowing very little about their issues,” says Zarnighian. “Instead of starting with questions, I ask them not to tell me anything. I just connect to their energy and report what I see. As we go over it, I ask them if it makes sense. Nine times out of ten, it’s something they are currently dealing with. For the other ten percent, I often get messages three to six months later saying that the issues I named have now arisen, and my energy reading was correct.”

Regardless of religious affiliation, people don’t have to worry about a conflict with these healing modalities. Zarnighian is clear in her assurances that her healing practices are non-denominational. 

Zarnighian first discovered her healing abilities when she was in college. A bout with food poisoning sent her to the hospital which opened up abilities even more. She had already been having dreams, but after her illness she began having visions during the day. Her interest in spirituality intensified, and a friend referred her to a famous healer who was coming to her city. She jumped at the chance to book a session with her. While there, the practitioner used Reiki to heal her of the chronic foot pain that she had endured since childhood. This healing experience made such an impression on her that it was life-changing. She trained under an exceptional teacher with a stellar following, Lisa Powers, and became Reiki certified.

Spotlighting another of her spiritual gifts, people often ask her what it is like to have ESP, wondering if she hears constant noise or if she can turn it off when she’s out in public. Zarnighian has a list of things she does to protect and ground her energy. Although she can’t turn it all off, she can quiet it by being more mindful and present in her body. Interestingly, wearing a hat in crowded areas protects the crown of the head and helps to preserve her energy. She wears crystals and limits the time she spends around certain people, giving herself space if she senses negative energy. She is dedicated to her morning meditation, tucking herself completely inside a ball of white light that serves as a solid shield of protection, keeping others’ energy out.

Zarnighian’s greatest desire is to serve more people through her healing services, and she adores public speaking and teaching. At times Zarnighian’s skills are in demand for reasons other than healing. She was recently invited to advise a group of investors on unknown potential problems in a multi-unit real estate complex. Following her intuition, she advised them to check into the plumbing, and as it turned out, deteriorated water filters had already caused extensive damage. Hello, Elena! We’re happy to have you as our guest. Your professional path began at the university, please tell us more about that.

When I was deciding which university to attend and really, what to do with my life, my mother suggested journalism. I got involved in a small, local news organization that summer and it was life changing for me. I discovered that I loved investigating and digesting tons of information and then turning my findings into something impactful for everyone else, especially obscure subjects or things the general public may not normally be exposed to. I ended up majoring in journalism and when I got to the point where I had to do an internship, I managed to land one with one of the top ten publications in my country. When I graduated, I was really lucky to be able to smoothly transition from being an intern to a full-time reporter. It wasn’t like that for a lot of my classmates, it can be really tough when you’re first out there, trying to get started. 

Why did you choose to specialize in one subject and become an expert in the consumer market?

I’ve always been passionate about investigative journalism, even back to my internship days. I’ve always been drawn to examining problems that plague our society: identifying them, exposing them and trying to correct them. Consumer rights are so important because they relate to things we do every single day. These issues impact our local communities and people all over the world. I’ve been focused on this area for six years now and I have a growing network of experts in the field who help me do my job better and keep motivating me to do more.

What do you consider the most important investigation in your career?

I’ve been part of a lot of investigations that I’m proud of, especially the ones that brought about tangible changes in my country’s consumer protection policies. But I think the piece that was most important to me was a human interest piece. It was about a terrible accident that happened a few years ago. A group of children were canoeing in a lake when the boat capsized. Some of the children were not strong swimmers and tragically, drowned. I searched until I found one girl, Yulia Korol, who had been on the boat and had actually been able to save a couple of the children by helping them swim ashore. All the major media outlets in Russia picked up my story, including television. Soon after, Yulia was honored by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and received multiple grants and awards. Also, Snob Magazine recognized her as Person of the Year. While it was a horrific situation, I was glad that my work brought attention to Yulia’s heroism and I hope that her story will inspire others to be more like her if they ever find themselves in the midst of a life or death situation. 

What are your goals when conducting investigations?

First of all, to change people’s lives for the better. My mission is to use my reporting to call out violations and help not only one person, but everyone impacted by a particular problem. It’s also important for me to garner the attention of local and state authorities and ensure that these issues are rectified in the courts. That’s what’s most inspiring to me.

You run a YouTube channel about moving to the US and the specifics of doing business here. Why did you decide to become a blogger?

When I came to the USA and started studying, I realized that I wanted to stay and continue my career as a journalist in this country. I knew it was going to be a big challenge, but I believed I had a unique perspective and that I could bring my understanding of Russian business practices to an American audience. I also realized that my Russian viewers might want to find out what it’s like to build a life here in America. I’ve done a lot of videos where I’ve interviewed immigrant business owners about how they got started, mistakes and lessons they’ve learned along the way. With these types of pieces, I get to show my followers that you can do what you love, even if you move to another country. It’s all possible as long as you have a solid action plan and the right motivation.

I also use my channel to share other content that is important to my audience and me, personally. For example, I made a video that showcased the experiences of transgender people living in the the US, Europe and Russia. I wanted my audience, and especially, my transgender audience members, to understand what kind of opportunities are available to them in different parts of the world.

 Which interview are you most proud of?

I would say I am most proud of my interview with the UFC fighter, Slava Borshchev, in the English edition of Russian Time. I am also particularly excited about the work I’m doing for Russian American Media, one of the largest publishing houses aimed at Russian-speaking Americans. I’ve been so grateful to work with them, they do incredible work.

How this family-owned linen business kept their All-American promise during the pandemic.

During tough times, especially in business, faith is often the hardest thing to keep. It is always the most important, though. While most other businesses saw a decline in sales through the pandemic, family-owned American Blossom Linens thrived as their revenue increased by 400%.

Here is a little background on the nationwide bedding business:

Founder Janet Wischnia’s grandfather started their business in 1931, having only one retail store open in the heart of Philadelphia. Over the last 90 years, the business was altered and improved in several ways by Wischnia’s father, her two uncles, and several other members of the family and their wonderful associates. They left the retail business and grew their business by wholesaling textiles and bedding to the government, healthcare, and hospitality markets. Over time, they grew by selling more and more bedding and it became more cost-effective to begin to manufacture their own line. They operated several plants but kept outgrowing them. 

Thomaston Mills, a competitor that had been a well-run family business manufacturing since 1899 in the historic city of Thomaston, Georgia went bankrupt in 2001. This was mainly due to changed trade policies in the 1990’s and the movement of virtually all the textile manufacturing overseas mainly to China and India. In those countries, labor rates were lower and environmental and worker safety rules almost non-existent. Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, between 1990 and 2016 there were a total of 516,000 jobs lost in the textile industry. After Thomaston Mills’ bankruptcy, Wischnia’s family bought several of their plants to continue building their bedding business and manufacturing in house, while providing jobs for American craftsmen and selling products made in the USA. 

Janet Wischnia turned 60 in 2019 and had been doing a lot of thinking about what direction she wanted to take with her work life. She had been the President of the company but wanted to take a step back and spend more time with her family. But Wischnia has a desire to keep growing her skills, which led her to decide to try something new that she thought would allow her to still learn but have more time to herself. 

With all the publicity about Made in America, the growing concern about sustainability, the environment, and the growth of the direct-to-consumer model, Wischnia thought she would try to take the company back to their retail roots and start an online business selling the bedding her factory made in the USA to consumers. Caring and being a responsible steward is a very important value that was emphasized in Wischnia’s family. Her mission was to create products that consumers could trust, that were Made in the USA, would be made to last, using only safe and sustainable manufacturing methods, and help to create jobs.

In early 2020 the Covid pandemic hit, but in a strange way – it was perfect timing for American Blossom Linens. Having had one year to learn how to sell online, learn Facebook, Google, and influencer marketing, Wischnia was in the right place to take advantage of the surge in demand for home goods, especially USA made home goods. The issues with obtaining personal protective equipment and masks at the outset of the pandemic and the realization by many more people about the dangers of over-reliance on China for certain crucial products sparked an increased interest in Made in USA sheets and bedding products. This was happening as the main market for family business, the hospitality market, declined due to quarantines and decreased travel. The 400% increase in sales that the American Blossom brand achieved came at just the right time and helped keep the work force busy. Of course, the factory made sure all their workers followed Covid guidelines and keeping them safe was of the utmost importance. Quick turn arounds, high-quality products, like their USA made sheets made from Western Texas organic cotton and a growing following of pleased customers are what helped get American Blossom through the pandemic while enabling them to keep their promise of manufacturing all their products here in the United States. As a side note, Wischnia thought building a new online business would be less time consuming, but she was wrong. Although, she still makes lots of time for her family.
