I never realized how much time, effort, and investment it takes to gain recognition.” Her book, I Am Not the Girl: Memoirs of a Certified Nursing Assistant, has maintained a 4.3-star rating on Amazon, validating the quality of her advice, even though it has reached only thirty readers since its publication.
The silence from the publishing industry underscored her difficulties in reaching a wider audience. Ruth sent copies to news outlets, celebrities, and healthcare organizations but received little to no responses, highlighting the challenges authors face when dealing with sensitive medical topics.
Continuing Her Mission Despite Setbacks
Despite facing professional rejection, Ruth’s commitment to helping families has never wavered. She continues to assist friends and family members grappling with healthcare crises, applying her decades of experience in long-term care.
