Ties to New York and the Times Square Billboard Project
Although currently based in Germany, Acarel’s work and connections extend to New York, a city that holds special significance in his professional journey. His frequent visits over the years have allowed him to forge connections and work on significant projects tied to the city.
In one of his memorable experiences, Acarel was tapped by LG Electronics to work on their iconic Times Square billboard, a landmark for thousands of daily visitors. Describing his involvement, Acarel explains, “Last year, I had the chance to work for the in-house agency of LG Electronics located in New York City to work on their Times Square billboard. I created a rig in my 3D program to convert animations accordingly. You can see the ‘stretched’ video and the final result in the screenshots.” His rigging work ensured the visuals adapted perfectly to the billboard’s unique curved shape, creating a striking and immersive visual experience for viewers.
For Acarel, the opportunity to bring his animations to life in the heart of New York was not just another project—it represented a milestone. The fact that his work was displayed on such a monumental stage is a testament to his expertise and ability to meet the demands of high-profile clients.
