Eli Bry’s professional journey began at the prestigious Shchukin Theater School in Moscow, where he honed his acting skills and embraced the rich traditions of Russian theater. His studies were marked by performances at renowned venues such as the Vakhtangov Theatre, Taganka Theatre, and even the San Giorgio Theatre in Italy. These experiences were crucial in shaping his international career and expanding his artistic horizons.

“The training in theater and film gave me confidence. Preparing for a new shooting day, making storyboards, discussing the shooting plan with the team, starting to shoot, I know exactly what the next step will be,”Eli reflects. 

Breaking Boundaries in Film and Theater

Eli’s breakthrough came in 2014 when he participated in the Cannes Film Festival, taking a prominent role in the film “Mother’s Day.” This pivotal experience opened doors to the global film industry, setting the stage for his future endeavors.

In 2019, Eli received a grant from Rossmolodezh, which became a crucial resource for his creative ambitions. The grant supported the creation of his theatrical project “Metamorphoses,” marking a significant milestone as he began to lead and manage projects independently.

“Receiving the grant first and then support on the crowdfunding platform made me fully realize that I was on the right path. Creativity is aimed at the audience’s response, and it happened. It is the audience that gives me the strength to move forward,” Eli notes.

Redefining Fashion Through the Lens

In addition to his work in film and theater, Eli has made a notable impact in the my fashion industry. As a director and creative producer, he has crafted high-profile commercials for brands such as Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, and Spotify.

“I am interested in Art in general, and its various manifestations. In the fashion and music worlds, I find new solutions and forms, which I then use in creating visual content. This pursuit has helped me collaborate with such major brands,”Eli explains.

Movie “Lucky Stories”

Currently based in Los Angeles, Eli is focused on his latest project: the film “Lucky Stories.” This short festival film sees Eli taking on the roles of director, screenwriter, and lead actor. The film is set to evolve into a series, promising to explore deeper narratives and character development.

“This is an important project… In this film, each of us, everyone who dreams, strives, loves — will find themselves. The short film format does not allow for the full development of all characters, and we aim to make this film a complete series,” Eli shares.

Eli’s dedication to “Lucky Stories” has been bolstered by support from a crowdfunding platform, demonstrating the public’s interest and trust in his work.

A Foundation in Artistic Legacy

Eli’s creative journey began at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia, where, at just 17, he performed the role of the Little Prince in “Nostalgia for Reality.” This early experience was instrumental in shaping his artistic vision.

“You have to seek with your heart; the most important things are not seen with the eyes,” a phrase from the Little Prince, remains central to Eli’s creative process. It serves as a guiding principle in his pursuit of cinematic excellence.

In 2023, Eli Bry, alongside partners Aria Saha and Timur Aliskerov, founded CapeditFilm in Los Angeles. ​​This production company specializes in creating high-quality commercials for celebrities and companies.
