“It is a power exchange in which a client hands over their devices, social media, banking, and more to my control because we both desire for me to have all the control of someone’s life,” she shares. “It is an admission by the client that they do not want the responsibility for their own life choices.“
Amassing a large following over the years, Mistress Harley’s methods have been used for more than just satisfying a kink. She has empowered her clients living in marginalized communities to live the lives they want as consenting adults through her Techdomme.
“I often use my method of Techdomme to assist in gender transitions, advocate for full sexual freedom among consenting adults, encourage role play and experimentation among people exploring their gender and sexuality, and remind those people that sexual freedom and intellectual freedom are important human rights,” she expounds.
Mistress Harley attributes her success to her desire to remove the stigma from consensual adult fetishism and her strong advocacy for feminism. She believes her career is a form of art and a political statement.
“All of my art is motivated by a desire to lift women up from the patriarchy and show men that they need to provide value to women that they wish to court or receive attention from,” she shares. “If I had been well paid and respected as a high-tech professional or a librarian, I would not feel the need to create the art that I do.”
Aside from her success in financial domination, Mistress Harley has also released two albums and written multiple books. She has also taken up a career in acting, winning a Silver medal LAMDA Award and making guest appearances on numerous documentaries and TV shows.
