Dayaneiris Burton, also known as Daya Burton, was recently recognized for her outstanding achievements by the City of Passaic. Burton received a proclamation from Passaic Mayor Hector C. Lora, honoring her for being the first woman of Dominican descent to represent New Jersey in the USOA Pageants.
In a proclamation speech, the Passaic Mayor expressed their thanks and congratulations to Daya Burton. “I Hector C. Lora, Mayor of the City of Passaic, along with our City Council, our entire city, these amazing vivacious, beautiful, professional, talented women and all of you, on behalf of all of us, honor you, Ms. Burton, for your unwavering determination and perseverance that serve as a reminder that with hard work and strong passion, anything is possible,” said Mayor Lora.

Burton has been making waves in the pageant world with her beauty, intellect, and charisma. As a proud Dominican woman and one of the most influential businesswomen in the country, she is passionate about breaking down barriers and representing her community on a national stage. Burton’s win not only puts her on the map, but also paves the way for future Dominican-American contestants.
In addition to her pageant success, Burton is also a well-known figure in the beauty industry. She founded and runs her own cosmetics line, Glavisio Skin & Beauty, and encourages individuals to nurture and discover their talents. Burton is also an advocate for the advancement of women in their professional lives and education. In spite of her success, Burton continues to advocate for those in need, using her platform as a tool to create discussion and bring to light the issues that affect her community and beyond. Daya’s advocacy for transparency and realness sets her apart from those who wish to use their platforms to spread false hopes and ideals through social media, highly aware of the damaging effects these have dealt on the younger generations. Her involvement in numerous foundations and causes highlights Burton’s dedication to her craft as a truly inspiring figure, and her achievements are a testament to her hard work and perseverance.

Burton’s recognition by the Mayor is a significant milestone in her career, and she is grateful for the support of her community. She hopes to continue to be a role model for young Latinas and inspire them to chase their dreams, no matter how big they may seem.
In another stellar move, Daya will be competing in her first national pageant for the United States of America Ms. 2023 title, on April 2nd.
Her success in the pageant world is matched only by her influence in the beauty industry and dedication to women’s empowerment. As she continues to make history and inspire young Latinas to pursue their dreams, Daya Burton’s future is undoubtedly bright. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next, and we’re rooting for her as she competes in her first national pageant for the United States of America Ms. 2023 title. Congratulations, Daya!
