Iris’s journey to becoming a tech leader is a testament to her resourcefulness and determination. Starting as a social studies teacher and community organizer, Iris recognized the power of technology to solve large-scale societal problems. She enrolled in a coding boot camp in San Francisco and quickly rose through the ranks as a software engineer, eventually becoming an engineer manager. With her leadership background and effectiveness at running projects, Iris has been building ever since.

She continued her studies at Pomona College, where she studied Economics and Black History, further solidifying her commitment to creating positive change in the world.
