As a Brazilian immigrant to the US, Clayton Rodrigues has made a name for himself in the realm of business. With a wildly successful 8-figure construction company, a mentoring program, and a loving family, he has made the American dream a reality for himself. How did he do it? By working hard through adversity and learning how to adjust his mindset to believe that anything is possible with a little faith and hard work!
When he first arrived in the US back in 2004, Clayton opted to hit the ground running in building his construction company in Sacramento, CA. He would go on sites like Craigslist to post ads to find jobs, he would travel neighborhoods going door to door to drum up business, and he made a point to build solid relationships with each client that we worked with. He also had to take on all aspects of the company; he was the receptionist, salesperson, installer, and accountant. It took determination and consistency to build up the business to where it is today, but it was worth it.
These days, Clayton and his company have built up an incredible number of positive reviews from happy clients. He makes sure that his clients are getting the things that they need/want quickly because that is what people look for today. He also ensures quality and affordability along with that. He also has great working relationships with people all over the industry. He’s become well-known for his leadership abilities and positive influence and motivation for working with people. He also is incredibly detail-oriented, which is a plus both in dealing with clients and coworkers.
Some of the things that Clayton had to learn and still reminds himself to this day all fall into the idea that your mindset is the key to success. He uses these tips to train himself and anyone else who wants to build a successful and happy life. He reminds himself that the world will not always play fair, so you have to push through the challenges that you are handed. He also makes sure to keep in mind that you need to visualize and believe in the idea that success is within reach if you continue to work toward it. Whenever he’s coaching and mentoring people, he tries to drive these ideas home.
His personal life is just as rewarding. Married to a wonderful lady, they have 2 little boys under the age of 3. Clayton is an avid traveler, making a point to go on adventures solo and with the family. He also is passionate about giving back to his community, taking part in charities of various kinds, and staying in decent shape. His life has been such a ride from immigrant to being at the top of his industry with a happy personal life, and he hopes to help others achieve the same.
