“Fashion, art, travel, working out, meditation and exploring are my go-to!” – Salima Surani

A USC graduate in the field of communication, arts and media, Salima Surani is a creative at heart. After graduation, she was faced with two options; either join a media and production company or start something of her own. Unlike most of the fresh graduates who are not brave enough to take on the risks of starting a new business, Salima stepped into the world of entrepreneurship and established All Pictures Media.

All Pictures Media was established in Los Angeles in 2001 but has now expanded to the markets of Istanbul and Dubai, becoming one of the most sought-after agencies for different locations such as film premieres, TV shoots, and photo shoots. The studio works with and maintains an ongoing working relationship with major film studios, television/cable networks, production houses, world-famous photographers, scouts and producers to secure the ultimate locations for feature films, television shows, reality shows, music videos, magazine shoots, fashion designers, print/ad/commercial campaigns as well as high-end events for the Oscars, Emmys and MTV, to name just a few. As for her clients, she has worked with Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, Fox, Showtime, NBC and HBO, as well as world-renowned editorial names such as Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, John Varvatos and the list goes on.

In 2017, Salima and her brother Hanif Surani launched their first film studio on the TMZ (The Movie Zone) called Popsicle LA. Then in 2019, the sibling duo launched their second film location studio adjacent to Downtown LA, which they named Tuxedo LA. Both are huge spaces with unique design elements suitable for all types of film projects, photo shoots, events, and sound recordings.

Working with the creative industry from all around the world, Salima Surani appreciates the unpredictable nature of her job. Every day is a new day, and it brings with it new challenges. From traveling around the world to scouting different locations to working out and meditating in order to keep her peace of mind intact, her life is a rollercoaster ride, and she enjoys every moment of it.

There is more to Salima than meets the eye. She loves exploring, whether it is new places or different avenues. While she was doing tremendously well with All Pictures Media, helping various productions with their projects, she realized that she knew the trade well enough to start her own production too. She has produced three movies to date, Paranormal Evil, which was released in 2020, while Darlings and The Blue Mauritius are still in the pre-production phase.

Her interest in fashion, art and the creative industry has made her a celebrity in the entertainment industry. She has been spotted at the Met Gala, Harper’s Bazaar Icons Gala, Milan Fashion Week, Vanity Fair, Lancôme’s Future of Hollywood party at Oscars, etc. Her social media is full of such high-profile events from the world of fashion and film, with A-list celebrities sharing some good moments with her.

Salima Surani seems to have a lot on her plate, but being a multitasker, she loves what she does, and that’s what makes her great at it. From providing shoot locations to turning into a producer to helping fashion shoots get a perfect ambiance and becoming a fashion icon herself, Salima has worked her way up in the fashion and entertainment industry through hard work, sheer dedication and flawless results that are part of All Pictures Media, Popsicle LA and Tuxedo LA. She believes if you turn your passion into a profession, then there are no limits to your success. And that’s exactly what Salima Surani did to turn her life around and become an extremely successful entrepreneur and entertainment industry icon!
