The operations and management plan describes how the business functions on a continual basis. This plan will outline the organization’s operations, such as the responsibilities of the management team, the responsibilities of each division, and the capital and expense requirements associated with the business. 

Andrew Mavis, CEO of 98Strong explains, “Your operations plan is essentially your business’s manual of how things work. This provides insight into how your business operates. In addition, investors can assess your credibility, understand your operations, and predict your financial requirements.”

Interviewer: Today, we have the pleasure of speaking with the talented actor Wasim Azeez, who has been taking the entertainment industry by storm. Welcome, Wasim! It’s great to have you here. 

Wasim Azeez: Thank you for having me. I’m excited to be here and share my experiences. 

Interviewer: Let’s jump right into it. You’ve been working on several film and theater projects simultaneously, which is quite impressive. Can you tell us a bit about the challenges you faced while switching between theater and film acting? 

Wasim Azeez: Absolutely. Handling multiple projects simultaneously was definitely a challenge, but it was also an incredible opportunity for growth. Switching between theater and film acting requires different techniques and approaches. In theater, you have to project your voice and movements to reach the entire audience, whereas on screen, you have to be more subtle and precise. Adapting to these different mediums and adjusting my performance accordingly demanded a lot of flexibility and concentration. 

Interviewer: It sounds like a demanding task indeed. Let’s talk about the projects you’ve been working on. One of them is “No Service.” Can you share some insights into this sci-fi film and your role in it? 

Wasim Azeez: “No Service” is a fascinating sci-fi film that explores the dark side of our addiction to social media in a dystopian future. I portrayed the character of Aaron, who becomes imprisoned due to his addiction. I loved working on this movie! One of the standout scenes involved extreme stunt driving with a drone capturing the action. It was a thrilling experience, but also physically demanding. Shooting in cold and rainy weather in December added an extra layer of challenge. However, the meticulous planning and choreography by the stunt team ensured the safety of everyone involved. 

Interviewer: That sounds intense! Another project you worked on is “Treading.” Can you share what drew you to this particular role and how you prepared for it? 

Wasim Azeez: “Treading” is a project that holds a special place in my heart. I played the role of a South Asian Bodega worker in the Bronx, and I wanted to bring authenticity to the character. To prepare, I volunteered at a bodega in Queens, immersing myself in their daily routines and having deep conversations with the workers. This firsthand experience allowed me to understand their struggles and challenges. Additionally, the decision to incorporate non-scripted interactions with real customers in the bodega added a layer of realism to the film, requiring me to rely on my improvisation skills. 

Interviewer: It’s commendable that you took the extra step to understand the character and the environment. Now, let’s talk about your involvement in theater. You were cast as the primary antagonist in the period play “Ada.” How did you approach this challenging role? 

Wasim Azeez: Playing the primary antagonist in “Ada” was a significant departure from my previous roles. The character, the Duke of Wellington, is a British general in 1800s United Kingdom. It required me to speak in the old English RP accent, which added an additional layer of complexity. Theater acting brings its own set of demands, such as performing live in front of a packed audience without the option for retakes. To prepare, I focused on emotional preparation, repetition exercises, and improvisation using the Meisner technique. This allowed me to connect with my scene partners and deliver truthful and impactful performances throughout the three-week run of the play.

Interviewer: It’s fascinating to hear about your theater experience and the techniques you employed. Lastly, you were cast as the lead in the South Asian sci-fi film “Alone Alone Alone on the Wide Wide Sea.” What was it like being part of this groundbreaking project? 

Wasim Azeez: “Alone Alone on the Wide Wide Sea” was a tremendous opportunity for me to represent the South Asian community in a pioneering sci-fi film. I played the lead role of Rajesh, and the film explored the profound journey of two brothers facing a tragic loss. Shooting in Grand Central Station late at night presented logistical challenges, but it was also an incredibly exhilarating experience. The film involved emotional scenes and intense hand-to-hand combat sequences. Preparation involved rigorous rehearsals and coordination to execute the fight sequences with precision and believability. Being selected for this role, which required fluency in three languages, was a testament to the unique skills and background I brought to the film. 

Interviewer: It’s clear that you’ve had an eventful and fulfilling journey with these projects. Looking back, how do you feel about the experience and what it has taught you? 

Wasim Azeez: Juggling four diverse projects in just four months was a remarkable feat that pushed me to my limits. It tested my versatility, dedication, and stamina as an actor. It was challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. I learned the importance of adaptability and the value of immersing myself fully in each character and project. These experiences have shaped me as an actor and allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I’m immensely grateful for the opportunities and proud of the work I produced during this period.

Kate McKay is a certified high-performance coach. She has helped corporations, groups, and individuals gain an increase in self-fulfillment and overall happiness in their personal as well as professional lives. Kate comes from a family of nine children, and it was a childhood that, to say the least, was “chaotic, fun, and crazy,” as she puts it. This “chaotic” beginning taught her from the upstart to practice what she would come to preach with time. She says, “My childhood was a busy place. You could barely ever hear your thoughts, and as someone who felt drawn to clarity, I developed my ways of finding my time and listening to myself. This practice was to put me in good stead in my future. And I can firmly say, it was my first initiation into my philosophy, unconsciously, of course, that one must get comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable.”          

Kate was shipped off to a performing arts high school when she was 15. This helped her come into her own and stay safe from the drug addictions that plagued a few of her siblings. Life went on at a reasonably charming pace for the next decade. However, things came to a standstill when she learned that one of her brothers had been murdered. Talking about it, she says, “My brother being murdered when I was 24 was a pivotal point in my life, and my family fragmented us.”

As Kate continued with life, it dealt its most significant blow when she lost her son in 2017. She took to writing to heal herself and published a book titled, Claim Your Inner Warrior as a tribute to his memory. Having practiced the idea of getting comfortable with being uncomfortable all through her life, consciously or unconsciously, helped her cope with her loss more bravely than she could have imagined. Using her life as a testimony to her philosophy, Kate says, “The loss of my son and brother has shifted the conversations I have and the choices I make. I do not hesitate to live boldly in life and to bring light to dark places. I do this with enthusiasm and passion. I love to learn to listen to people’s stories. I am always growing. I am not attached to things as many are, as I understand the fleeting quality of life in a different way. My son Will guides me. It’s an incredibly transformative journey. I also believe I am here to help people grow prosperity and wealth as I love business and economic trends.”

With 860 guests in attendance, the all-female team of directors, musicians, and artists turned the event into an unforgettable experience. An Enchanting Collaboration of Latin American Designers: 

Lakras thrives on collective creativity, bringing together 11 talented designers—Julicore, Mariposo, Laura Garrido, Namz Anil, Valentina Anzola, Katya, Travieso, Pelitoz Locoz, Daniela Gonzales, Tercer mundo, and Fi Isidore. Each designer’s work is infused with Scottish culture, blending past patterns with a gothic aesthetic, resulting in a collection that captivates and mesmerizes. 

An Aesthetic Journey into Fear, Mystery, and the Unknown: 

Lakras’ “Haunted Castle” collection delves into the depths of human primal fears, using playful colors and imaginative designs to evoke emotions and challenge perceptions. The collection’s visual composition paints a melancholic scene, reminiscent of gray clouds and the haunting beauty of the unknown. Alek Lakras, the founder, describes the feeling of arriving alone in Scotland with a giant suitcase as both beautiful and terrifying—a sentiment reflected in the collection’s essence.  

“This collection was full of demands, not only at the aesthetic level of what is assumed to be the duty of Colombian design, but also of the role of women in the industry and in history. Craft Disciplines and Characters: 

Within this mesmerizing collection, various craft disciplines shine through. “The Scarecrow,” inspired by “The Wizard of Oz” movie, showcases the intricate art of the Sheep Felted process, connecting Colombia and Scotland. Meanwhile, “The Punki Witchard,” with a big blue hat and spiral hair, mesmerizes with hypnotic artistry from La Vega, Colombia. The collection also features “The Circus Courtesan,” a stunning creation crafted through screen printing and draping techniques by a Russian artist based in Tenjo, Colombia.  

Unveiling a World of Spectral Characters: 

The collection introduces a cast of intriguing characters, such as the enigmatic Ghost Empress,” brought to life through intricate handmade knitting, symbolizing arcane number three of the tarot and the wonders of the Milky. 

“Business Bicho” made in collaboration with a Mexican artist who works with airbrushes. The “Space Countess” who represented a change of state of consciousness  who was wearing a painted sublimated corset with these Ovni glasses. “The Fancy Hunter” looks like she is about to lead a war, she is wearing one of the garments which stole all the attention of the public: puffer jacket. 

All these characters were accompanied by luxurious sets of silver jewelry made with pre-Columbian techniques that makes everything feel like a futuristic vintage fantasy.

Griffin Kapelus is not your average college student. While many young adults spend their free time focused on personal interests and socializing, Griffin dedicates his extracurricular activities to helping the homeless and combatting food insecurity in his community. His passion for social issues and commitment to making a difference have been shaped by his upbringing, personal experiences, and the inspiring individuals who have influenced his thinking. 

Nurturing a Social Conscience: Early Influences and Academic Exploration 

Growing up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Griffin was born into fortunate circumstances. However, his parents instilled in him and his sisters the importance of recognizing their privilege and remaining grounded. Griffin’s mother, who worked at the Goddard Riverside Community Center, played a significant role in shaping his perspective. He spent afternoons in his mother’s office, observing the inner workings of a nonprofit community center and witnessing the impact of social work firsthand. 

During his high school years, Griffin’s academic interests began to take shape, thanks to the guidance of his dedicated teachers. His history teacher, in particular, fostered his interest in global studies, politics, and urban issues. These formative experiences led Griffin to pursue further education and exploration of social issues. 

Griffin started taking classes part-time at Hunter College, where he deepened his understanding of social issues. A geography course on race and ethnicity in the United States solidified his interest in academic exploration. However, he also felt a strong desire to contribute directly to addressing the issues he was studying. 

The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic further reinforced Griffin’s commitment to helping others. He began volunteering at the West Side Campaign Against Hunger, a food pantry in New York City. This experience allowed him to interact with individuals facing food insecurity and witness the impact of the pandemic on vulnerable communities. 

In the summer of 2021, Griffin moved to Burlington, Vermont, to attend the University of Vermont. There, he continued his volunteer work by joining Feeding Chittenden, an organization dedicated to tackling food insecurity in Chittenden County. Additionally, Griffin took on a job at a homeless shelter, where he had the opportunity to engage with the homeless population in a more significant way. This firsthand experience provided him with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness. 

Strategies for Productivity and Inspiration 

Balancing the demands of college, work, and volunteer commitments can be challenging, but Griffin has developed effective strategies. He prioritizes activities that bring him joy, such as spending time with friends, working out, and volunteering. By incorporating these activities into his schedule, he ensures that he is not sacrificing his well-being and happiness while managing his responsibilities. 

When starting a new project, Griffin takes a practical approach. He opens a blank document and starts putting ideas down, even if they eventually get discarded. This helps him overcome the anxiety of a blank page and find a starting point. 

Effective decision-making is crucial in Griffin’s role at the homeless shelter. Quick thinking and adaptability are key when addressing the immediate needs of residents. Griffin understands the importance of reacting promptly to manage the challenges that arise in a dynamic environment. 

To manage the stress of incomplete tasks, Griffin compartmentalizes his work and focuses on the things that matter most to him. By making time for activities that bring him relaxation and joy, he can decompress and approach pending projects with a clearer mind.

Athlete activists like Marcus Rashford, who uses his platform to promote social justice and address issues such as child hunger, inspire Griffin’s commitment to social activism. He also finds influence in diverse sources, such as literature, news outlets like The New York Times, television shows, and music.

Griffin’s dedication to making a positive impact extends beyond his own actions. He comes from a family with a long history of community involvement and activism. His grandparents on both sides were deeply engaged in volunteer work and political activism, fighting for social justice and equality. 

On his father’s side, Griffin’s grandfather, Milton Kapelus, was an advertising executive and an active supporter of the Progressive Party, an organization opposed to the apartheid policies in South Africa. Milton and his wife, Denyse Levitt, were deeply involved in their community, dedicating their time to political campaigns and charitable organizations. 

On his mother’s side, Griffin’s great-grandparents, Joseph and Lillian Levitt, were immigrants who embraced their new home in the United States and were committed to giving back to their community. Joseph worked as a carpenter, and Lillian focused on raising their family and participating in community activities. They instilled in their children and grandchildren the values of hard work, compassion, and service.
