His regular jewelry buyers were mostly friends or relatives who usually bought something for a special occasion. The positive responses from these buyers gave Rocco a sense of accomplishment. Having the opportunity to sell someone something that would become an indispensable part of their lives was something he didn’t want to stop doing.
Rocco’s first, unguided steps into business were hard, but he kept going even though the odds were against him. He became a better businessman due to everything he went through, the good and the ugly. However, the robbery in August was the hardest thing he’s had to deal with since opening Rocco’s Jewelry.
It was devastating for Rocco as he suffered from the loss of irreplaceable goods and the departure of workers who were frightened by what happened. In light of this unfortunate event, Rocco has tightened security at his store and among his employees.
