The Copy Queen: Tarla Makaeff EMPOWERS Women to Write Iconic Copy

Best known in the industry as the Copy Queen and founder of the Iconic Copy Course, copywriter Tarla Makaeff is leveraging her vast experience in freelance copywriting to add value to the lives of other women who aspire to pursue an online business and learn both the strategy and copywriting behind it. Online business is not for everyone, but those who believe they are called to the profession need to be armed with the right skills and tools, and Tarla is making it happen through her upcoming online courses: Social Star and Direct Response Launch.

Tarla Makaeff specializes in online business and copywriting, adding a high level of self-love coaching in order for her clients to acquire a powerful business mindset. Additionally, she also empowers her clients by teaching them the important rules behind effective direct response, email marketing, funnels, social media, and digital product creation. These skills take time to learn, and Tarla is passionate about journeying with her clients until she sees them succeed in their respective fields.

“I want to empower women like me who have felt lost or like they don’t have a home,” Tarla said. “We can create homes within ourselves. We can be heart-centered and feminine but also driven and successful businesswomen all at the same time. We can live fully expressed lives by tapping into our unique essences and owning our truth.”

Ultimately, Tarla Makaeff aspires to support individuals who are driven to take control of their professional destinies. By teaching them to pursue or establish a purpose-filled business that they are passionate about, she believes that more and more individuals will confidently leverage the power of digital technology to create something worthwhile.

“Online business is challenging and will require perseverance. There are no guarantees. Not everyone is going to have a substantial following or become huge overnight, but you can still make a significant impact and have a thriving business,” she said. “I firmly believe in massive, consistent action. If you don’t give up, you will eventually find your way.”

Despite her current success, Tarla Makaeff is living proof that no one is exempted from life’s biggest adversities. In 2014, her mother passed away, and it left her heartbroken, alone, and confused. Having lost her father at the age of 1, she has always relied on her mother for support. She was her source of strength and inspiration at the same time. Losing her was very crippling, but she knew she needed to push herself to move forward, prompting her to pursue restorative actions to brave her overwhelming grief. She tried Pilates, yoga, fashion, and beauty-related hobbies. It was during that time of much-needed healing that she accidentally stumbled upon a beauty opportunity, which later inspired her interest in online business.

“Everything changes after you lose your parents; life is short,” Tarla revealed. “Looking back, my career, while extremely lucrative, had been about trading time for money. I wanted to do something that really mattered and could change the world. I didn’t feel like I was achieving impact and change with copywriting alone.”

Today, Tarla is focused on helping people elevate their online careers. She equips them with how to write copy that connects and converts, how to start an online business, how to practice self-love for the ultimate business mindset, and how to create their own online courses with realistic expectations of their success. “I have bundles of content coming,” Tarla Makaeff happily shared. “And I am so excited to share what I know so women can lift each other up, go after their wildest dreams, and become forces in this world! I’ve never worked so hard in my life — I am so proud of what I have accomplished.”

Imposter Syndrome in Business Leaders: How CEO Stephanie Tran Pushed Past this Common Hurdle

Stephanie Tran, Edupreneur, Founder, and CEO of Tutor Route, pushed through imposter syndrome and the expectations of others to create her business and helps education professionals level up to become entrepreneurs. Her 6-Figure Tutor Masterclass, which launched in November 2021, focuses on instructing teachers and counselors to create and launch their own business in 30 days.

Imposter Syndrome: What It Is

Harvard Business Review defined imposter syndrome in 2008, as “a collection of feelings of inadequacy that persist despite evident success.” Imposters suffer from chronic self-doubt and a sense of intellectual fraudulence that override any feelings of success or external proof of their competence.

Tran experienced this feeling throughout her life. She broke through this feeling for good, empowering others to do the same so they can continue to grow, create successful businesses, and extend beyond their limiting beliefs.

Stephanie Tran: The Real McCoy

Tran is an Asian-American champion figure skater-turned-educational entrepreneur (‘edupreneur’) whose identity shifted upon immigrating to the United States with her parents caused an ongoing tug-and-pull with imposter syndrome. On the one hand, Tran is a responsible daughter who understands her immigrant parents’ reservations of risky ventures and preferred secure careers (doctors, lawyers, etc.). On the other hand, Tran knew in her heart that she was destined for a different course, one of entrepreneurship, which many see as a risky adventure.

Here she is today, the ‘real McCoy’ with proud (albeit relieved) parents and a metaphorical badge that says ‘Real Entrepreneur’ — or in her case, ‘Edupreneur.’

It didn’t happen overnight: Tran suffered career-ending injuries when she was a champion figure skater in her early years, causing a mild identity crisis that spurred her pivot to educational pursuits. (Um, can you say Disney movie?!)

“I had so much going through my mind at the time,” Tran explained. “‘I can’t be an Olympic figure skater now; what am I going to do? — Who am I? — Was I even good enough to go for gold in the first place? What if my next career choice is a bust? And then when I became a figure skating coach and an academic tutor in college, I thought, ‘Why are these kids and parents even listening to me?’ When I started my business, the imposter syndrome came back ten-fold: Who am I to run a business? Do I really know what I’m doing, even if it’s working? Are people going to see right through me?”

Of course, Tran’s self-questioning was natural and expected, but she pushed onward and upward.

“That’s the funny thing about imposter syndrome,” Tran went on. “In some way, many folks have experienced it at least once. Nobody fully knows what they’re doing at first. This is what I’ve  come to realize whenever I learn anything new. It’s about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable when we experience paralysis by analysis. Just get started and keep taking daily actions until you build a momentum of successful habits and reach your goals.”

She couldn’t be more correct. Living on your own for the first time, buying your first home, going to college, having children, and starting a business are massive deals that we are all as capable as the next person to achieve. It’s not that we are all winging it. It’s that the same information is available for everyone, should we seek it out. Tran’s 6-Figure Tutor Masterclass seeks to eliminate doubt in prospective tutor-business owners’ minds, so they can move forward feeling prepared and supported to run a successful business.

“I want to empower education professionals to push towards their personal and professional goals — to believe in themselves as they redefine themselves as entrepreneurs by beginning with a successful side hustle,” Tran explained.

She pushed past the cultural norms of her parents, having overcome imposter syndrome, and defined herself on her own terms, bridging the gap between her upbringing and her ultimate dream life. Tran built her identity based on experiencing many roles over different episodes and seasons of her life.

“I braved the uncomfortable learning moments,” Tran said. “This feeling is natural, and we have the power to embrace a growth mindset and be free of our mental prison of doubts. In the end, we are the only ones who can guide our path to happiness and feel confident in our capabilities. I encourage my fellow educators to embark on their own journeys and make a conscious choice to be the main characters in their own stories, regardless of any imposter syndrome that may arise.”

More About That Masterclass!

Educators, teachers, tutors, instructors, whatever you call them, one thing is for sure: These individuals have the power to change lives. Knowledge is power, and humanity’s ability to cultivate more knowledge throughout a lifetime is beautiful. For that reason, Tran’s message for clients who participate in her masterclass is for them to ‘Cash in on Changing the World!’

Course deliverables and training topics include:

  • Understanding what is and creating your minimum viable brand (MVB)
  • How to attract and tailor your service to your target market·
  • How to consult confidently and close deals
  • How to manage necessary business administration work comfortably
  • How to produce content like a boss

And it doesn’t stop there. Special features highlighted in the masterclass are the ability to go at your own pace, live coaching with Tran herself, and the empowerment to tutor others in a myriad of skills, not just math and English.

“Anyone who has a marketable personality and skills to share can take this masterclass,” said Tran. “If they implement my method, they will see success. Take the first step in your side hustle while I hold your hand through it. That is a promise.”

Serial Entrepreneur Dee Brown Creates Shows Highlighting Entrepreneurship, HBCU Excellence, and Inspires Generational Wealth

By Dee Brown

Not everyone gets a well-marked path to success. While flashing lights alert some travelers to the onramp, others only see the overgrown gravel road in their rearview mirror. As a first-generation college graduate from a family mired in poverty, the odds were not stacked in my favor. However, after becoming a leading expert on P3s, and President & CEO of the nation’s largest African American real estate development firm focused on public-private partnerships, I am proof that anyone can find that road.

My own success wasn’t enough, though. I wanted to put out better signage for people like myself. I started by hosting The Sky’s the Limit: Beyond the Deal, a podcast with ForbesBooks Audio. Next, I began producing two programs for WTVP PBS: Self Made With Dee Brown CEO and #HBCYou with Dee Brown CEO. The real-life stories from the guests on these programs reveal how anyone can achieve their own dreams and goals.

Self Made With Dee Brown CEO reveals the path to entrepreneurial success

I created the program Self Made With Dee Brown CEO to showcase individuals who come from ordinary backgrounds and go on to be extraordinary in their careers. Given the right examples, I believe people have the power to become something they never thought they could be. The program provides a national platform to showcase excellence in a variety of fields.

I absolutely can relate to the guests on my show. I grew up in a rural Mississippi Delta town. To this day, there is still a lot of hopelessness and need among the people in that community. You have a small number of people doing well, and a large number of people who are impoverished. That condition is reflected in the mentality of the people there.

My single mother and grandfather raised me. Even back then, I had a mindset that spurred me on toward success. I was always looking for entrepreneurial ways to earn a little money as a kid.

After turning 21 and graduating from college, I never asked my mother for anything. My entrepreneurial journey began with $500 in my pocket. Grit, determination, hard work, and ingenuity brought me everything I have today.

#HBCYou with Dee Brown CEO highlights Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) as a key to future accomplishment

I created #HBCYou with Dee Brown CEO to provide a national platform to feature the success stories of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The program showcases the HBCU experience and shines the spotlight on HBCU leadership.

HBCUs have filled the educational gap for communities of color since before the Civil War. Prior to the end of segregation, HBCUs provided one of the only paths to college for African Americans.

These institutions still play a critical role for African Americans today. Though they represent only 3% of colleges in the US, they enroll 12% of African American students. They are responsible for producing 23% of African American graduates, 50% of African American teachers, 60% of African American engineers, and 70% of African American dentists. Less than 10 percent of all African American test-takers met the ACT college readiness benchmark across all four subjects in 2019. In the same year, only one in five African American SAT test-takers met both college readiness benchmarks. HBCUs provide the critical programs allowing these students to rise above the statistics and continue their educations.

Though I attended the HBCU Alcorn State University during my freshman year, I later graduated from the University of Memphis. My inspiration to support HBCUs through the WTVP PBS program came later in life after discovering the important role they play in communities of color.

Starting the chain of generational wealth

Generational wealth is a relatively new concept in communities of color, but it’s a game-changer. Creating generational wealth means that your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be born into a better life with access to quality healthcare, superior education, and unprecedented opportunities. Education and wealth are the great equalizers. They mark the path to success for all your descendants.

The path to creating generational wealth is through earning, investing, and estate planning. You must first acquire income or earnings; then, you must invest those earnings in appreciable assets and commodities. Next, you must plan how to pass down the wealth in a manner that protects it for future generations. If you are a business owner, you must also plan for the succession of your business to the next generation so it will continue to thrive and prosper.

Self Made With Dee Brown CEO and #HBCYou with Dee Brown CEO highlight the opportunities that position viewers to create generational wealth. Long-lasting wealth can’t be created without a substantial income. Once individuals start acquiring significant earnings, they are then able to invest and plan for the future. These programs are designed to show viewers the avenues they can follow to become successful high-income earners and the challenges they will need to overcome on the journey.

How AI-Powered Route Optimization Is Improving Delivery Times for Couriers and Delivery Drivers

The pressures that delivery drivers currently face have never been greater. In an age where next-day delivery is not only an option, but a guarantee from many businesses, the demand falls on drivers to make quotas within limited time frames. Most recently, Amazon has faced scrutiny over the alleged poor conditions that their drivers work in due to immense pressure to make deliveries.

Right now, the biggest challenge involves the logistics necessary to make deliveries in less than one hour. When factoring in the time-sensitive nature of certain perishables like food, catering, health, or corporate packages, the demand becomes even greater. But with the responsibility to make fast and efficient deliveries falling on businesses, as well as the drivers themselves, could artificial intelligence be the game-changing solution?

Using AI to Optimize Delivery Routes

Anar Mammadov is the co-founder of high-tech delivery platform Senpex, which uses AI-powered route optimization, and has a median delivery time of around 55 minutes. As part of the platform features, customers can send items to multiple destinations within a speedy timeframe. It allows users to upload addresses to a list, and select a preferred delivery date and time, which then is fed through a smart algorithm to evaluate vehicle types, road conditions, and weather reports to provide the best routing experience.

“If warehouses, distribution centers, third-party logistics, or different e-commerce marketplaces have more than 1,000 to 2,000 deliveries to be delivered within two to three hours with 25 drivers, that is a challenging task,” Mammadov says. “This is where we should implement in-depth logistics and routes optimization and planning tools.”

Poor Planning Creates Stressed Drivers

“Mainly, drivers have issues with inefficient driving distances, and because of that, they are unhappy,” says Mammadov. Although, currently, the line between management responsibility and driver expectations is somewhat blurred. Is it the driver’s shortcoming if parcels are not delivered in time, when a number of uncontrollables like roadworks, weather, and human error may affect their route? Additionally, when drivers are making deliveries with a van loaded with hundreds of parcels, especially with different types of goods, the expectation that they could single-handedly make a judgment call on how best to coordinate delivery is simply unrealistic.

“Another main problem,” Mammadov says, “is if different types of products need to be collected from multiple warehouses and delivered to multiple drop-off locations.” He explains that delivery drops within one shift that include food goods for some, and pharmaceutical supplies for others, inevitably make for an inefficient strategy. “Here, we should implement a proper scheduling and coordination process on the drivers’ apps,” he adds.

AI Enables Flexibility

It’s not unusual for warehouses to have more than 1,000 shipments or more to process in a day. The most challenging issue, Mammadov says, is labeling and QR scanning to facilitate an efficient route for drivers. While this is standard practice for most warehouses, AI optimization needs to be integrated with these processes, along with radio frequency identification technology, to ensure a streamlined process from the warehouse to last mile logistics.

Above all else, Mammadov says, is that even with the help of AI, the people at the heart of these operations are human, and they require flexibility. This is where AI can assist in facilitating dynamic route changes at the last minute. This can include pushing cheaper deliveries to evenings and weekends with less time pressure, and flexible business hours to make deliveries for non-working days. This is a win-win for all parties, as pricing structures can be optimized for various types of deliveries. The importance of this technology cannot be overstated in contexts like holiday seasons where there are hundreds of drivers out on the road, almost all of whom have large volumes of deliveries to make.

Communication Is Key

Artificial intelligence may improve delivery efficiency, but it’s only one part of the wider system. Mammadov insists that open communication channels between customers, couriers, and dispatch teams are vital. “Sometimes, there are changes on the routes at the last minute by customers, which can complicate the management of returns to the warehouses if no customers are found at the drop-off locations.” AI, he says, is key for handling changes and ensuring route optimization in any scenario, but also that parties should be able to communicate with one another. By using AI to enhance practices for delivery drivers — rather than rely on it entirely — it creates space for a hybrid approach that optimizes conditions for drivers, and helps restore confidence in businesses’ to deliver on their shipping guarantees.Find out more about Senpex here.

5 Factors to Consider When Choosing an Online MBA Program

Source: Unsplash

Pursuing a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) is a wise investment for your future. The degree can help you grow in your present job or allow you to change fields.

According to a 2020 report from U.S. News & World Report, “an MBA may oftentimes serve as a doorway to corporate leadership positions, experts say, and management responsibilities often pay more than non management ones.”

When assessing online MBA programs, there are numerous important elements to consider, including criteria, accreditation, support, cost, and other factors. Let’s look at five important factors to consider while selecting an MBA online program.

1. Cost

Tuition varies greatly amongst programs, and it is likely that price will play a role in your selection. When evaluating expenses, don’t only look at tuition costs. Tuition support such as scholarships and fellowships will vary from program to program.

Examine the types of merit-based and need-based financial help that each program provides. Loans from the government and commercial lenders might also assist with the expenditures. In rare situations, businesses may even provide compensation as a retention and development incentive.

2. Accreditation

It might be difficult to narrow down your selections with the expanding list of online MBA programs. As a starting point, check the accreditation of the online program to establish its legitimacy. The International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) is among the most well-known certifying bodies for MBA programs.

These independent organizations assess the quality of a business program’s teaching, staff, services, and students. They acknowledge business programs that achieve their stringent academic criteria based on that review. If the online program you’re contemplating is accredited by one of these organizations, it’s a good indicator of its quality.

3. Flexibility

An online MBA is an appealing choice for individuals who must balance education, employment, family, business, and other responsibilities. While one of the most obvious advantages of an online program is flexibility, not all virtual programs are made equal.

Some are more adaptable than others. Some online MBA programs, for example, are asynchronous, allowing students to study at their own speed, whilst others are synchronous, requiring students to attend live sessions at a set time. Several hybrid and online programs also contain in-person prerequisites. As you research online degree programs, establish a list of the precise criteria and make sure they fit into your schedule.

4. Timeline

If you want to study an MBA online, you may choose from a variety of program types and lengths. With an expedited option, you might earn your online degree in as little as one year, depending on the format you pick. However, if you enroll in a part-time online school, it may take many years. Finally, it comes down to how much time you have, other responsibilities (such as whether you want to work full-time or part-time), and your immediate and long-term professional ambitions. These considerations will assist you in determining the best time frame for finishing your degree. You may then choose a program package that fits you.

5. Career Support

Career counseling and assistance are crucial factors for both career changers and advancements. This varies with each institution but might include access to job listings, networking events, interview preparation, and alumni.

Find out what support and coaching are like at the institution you’re thinking about attending. Would you be able to see job or career postings? Would you get comments on your resume in addition to analyzing it? Are you likely to get called to networking events? Just because you’re an online MBA student doesn’t mean you can’t get good professional advice and criticism.

Regardless of the Circumstances, Strive Toward Achievement

It’s critical to understand how an online MBA program will help you achieve your long-term professional objectives, just like any other graduate degree. However, while you consider your long-term objectives, keep flexibility in mind. It is critical to remain adaptable in the context of an unpredictable future. This allows you to keep your alternatives open, allowing you to succeed regardless of the conditions.

What is all the buzz about Anelia Carmila Sutton?

Anelia Carmila Sutton, known professionally as Anne Smith, born in the Republic of Panama, is an American writer, activist, humanitarian and bestselling author who co-authored Performance 360 with Richard Branson.

Anne is the Founder of the #ClearHerName Project and non-profit IRON Sharpens IRON Council.com, which began as a small community on Facebook Group. Over time, the small online community developed into a significant destination for inspiring people seeking to learn how to win justice after wrongful conviction. This launched Sutton’s career as a social justice activist and she adopted Anne Smith as a stage name because it’s so innocuous it would hide her legal prowess from corrupt officials.  Anne is derived from Anelia’s childhood nickname given by her mother, Rosita Sutton, and Smith is chosen from the Matrix where Sutton playfully “make Agent Smith her b*tich by taking his name”.

Sutton was featured in over 240 media outlets and web portals including NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox News, Huffington Post and Forbes. She is a U.S. Navy veteran with an Honorable Discharge, and received many medals and awards including America’s Premier Experts Award.

In Clear Her Name, Anne writes about a young woman who has her wisdom teeth removed and ends up in jail. The young woman is Anne’s daughter, committed to a state hospital, after being railroaded by a prosecutor who painted her daughter as a monster using false evidence in open court while the public defender allowed it to happen. Anne witnessed corruption firsthand – and experienced the pain of watching her daughter trapped between the crosshairs of two powerful entities –the Justice System and the mental health system.   Anne sets out to uncover the truth through 8 years of legal research. Her failure will result in a certain prosecutor and public offender continue their reign of terror on other unsuspecting families. Success would mean bringing the lies to the public, and clearing her daughter’s name, and perhaps changing the justice system forever.

The Clear Her Name film is based on a true story that will resonate similarly to When They See Us a 2019 American crime drama television miniseries by Ava DuVernay for Netflix, based on events of the 1989 Central Park jogger case and explores the lives and families of the five male suspects who were falsely accused then prosecuted on charges related to the rape and assault of a woman in Central Park, New York City; and For Life, an American legal drama television series created by Hank Steinberg that premiered on ABC. The series is loosely based on the true story of Isaac Wright Jr., who was imprisoned for a crime that he did not commit. While incarcerated, he became an attorney and helped to overturn the wrongful convictions of twenty of his fellow inmates, before finally proving his own innocence.

John Basedow Creates Empire of Positive Impact with JB’s Fantastic Finds

Since we first saw him flexing his infamous muscles on our television screens for Fitness Made Simple in the early 2000s, John Basedow has evolved into a jack-of-all-trades, and a master of most. His latest accomplishment, a live auction show called JB’s Fantastic Finds, is an unexpected turn in his continuously impressive road to success as an entrepreneur and television personality.

JB’s Fantastic Finds combines the worlds of myth and fantasy with jewelry and trinkets from all over the world. Basedow himself goes ‘treasure hunting in the wild’ to find many of the exceptional pieces. Though his passion for finding treasures began as a young child, this new route to create a career out of it seemed surprising to most considering his past resume as a fitness guru.

“When I was a kid I’d see extremely bright, talented folk grow up, enter the business world and basically taper down every edge that made them unique to become an unknown cog in the wheel of society. Whether it was a consequence of trying to be like everyone else or the aftermath of facing challenges in achieving their dreams, they lost their shine and what made them special. I decided early on I would not be one of those people. I define success as being able to do what you love, make a living at it and have a positive impact on others, while being at the mercy of no one. JB’s Fantastic Finds is a bizarre twist in my journey that I wanted to explore, and I hope its success will inspire others to follow their dreams as well,” said Basedow.

Basedow’s passion and overall ability to create a fun environment in the show is said to be its most valuable aspect by many viewers. The combination of informative gem lore, comedy and entertainment from Basedow allows them to experience joy from the comfort of their homes. The impact JBFF has had on its viewers is impressive to say the least.

“I’ve watched JB’s Fantastic Finds evolve since I was just a buyer at the very start of the show. I initially came to shop, but was captivated by John’s friendly and personable approach, his knowledge of the gems and the environment overall. I haven’t missed a show since I started watching. If my friends ask me to go out on a Saturday, I always have plans, and those plans allow me to have the most fun and enjoyment I have all week with John and the rest of the Fantastic Finds family,” said JBFF viewer Gaye Koutrelakos.

Throughout his expansive career as an entrepreneur, John Basedow makes one common theme apparent… to create a positive influence in the world. With JB’s Fantastic Finds, Basedow has created friendships and a community where everyone who’s anyone can enjoy the humor, fun and valuable items it has to offer. Viewers rave about the enthralling experience that makes it so much more than your typical talk show.

“It’s a safe-zone where you never feel judged. You can joke with others and create real friendships on top of the beautiful artifacts. John is an exceptional human and host. He is always so enthusiastic and everyone is always reciprocating that attitude. I’ve made so many wonderful friends that I talk to on a regular basis now. Who would have thought all that good could come from just one show?” said viewer Sonia Engle Murphy.

The safe zone environment Basedow has created for viewers of Fantastic Finds can also be a safe zone for your wallet. Treasures for purchase start at prices as low as just a few dollars and go up to hundreds.

“Whether it’s the beauty, style, history or metaphysical properties, there is something for everyone to find. What’s really cool from the responses I see is that each treasure folk win becomes a tangible reminder of the joy they had at the show,” said Basedow.

A quick scan over the plethora of viewer posts and comments gracing the JBFF Facebook Group Page reveals the level of that joy.

“I am always like a child in candy store when I open my packages. Thanks JB. Keep bringing these wonderful treasures!” – JBFF viewer Chantel Hogan

“Over the moon with happiness! Your finds are our enjoyment! Love all of them and thank you so much for the fantastic surprises… made me smile from ear to ear!!” – JBFF viewer Lisa Wait

“John Basedow is the man, the myth and legend of this show and his Fantastic Finds are just the bonus. Million thanks John and I truly love every piece I got.” – JBFF viewer Janice Marek

Industry insider Christine Drawdy, who’s been in the jewelry auction business for years and collected gems, rocks and fossils since childhood, adds she has great respect for Basedow. “He’s obviously a showman. Definitely someone that’s meant to draw an audience and a lot of people, but he actually comes with the facts and that’s what impresses me. He is undeniably authentic and genuine as his word,” expanded Drawdy.

JBFF viewer Sonia Engle Murphy echoes Drawdy’s sentiment… “He is as genuine and authentic as the gems. What I appreciate even more is how much he retains about his viewers. He can remember so many of us by name and state, and there was one occasion where he even remembered my ring size. You don’t find hosts like John on other shows. You can feel that he puts his heart and soul into everything he does. It doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes! JBFF is truly like therapy.”

As a maverick of the industry, Basedow was the first to use traditional media to market a new media platform with JB’s Fantastic Finds. After creating a ‘Discover Your Treasure’ themed television commercial for the show and running that nationally, JBFF saw an exponential increase of Facebook members and viewers.

“As someone who has known John for years, his success and courage to make bold moves has never ceased to amaze me. He was able to manifest viewers to an entirely new platform that lacked exposure with his television commercial for JB’s Fantastic Finds. I’ve never seen such explosive success,” said viewer Andrea Lee.

Since the JBFF TV spot, which added the infectious ‘Sold Sold Sold’ catchphrase to our pop culture lexicon, first aired in late 2021, JB’s Fantastic Finds grew from 400 to 25,000 plus members. Basedow and the rest of the Fantastic Finds viewers welcome others to come ‘join the family’ because there is treasure to be found for everyone.
