What is the most common type of cosmetic dentistry that your office performs?

Porcelain Veneers and Bioclear Composite Veneers

With regard to braces, what are the different types you can choose from and why would older adults want or need them?

Invisalign is by far the best, most common choice for adults.   Practically invisible, and can correct, crowding and spacing to improve appearance, patients bite (how their teeth fit together) and make them more cleansable and healthier

For someone trying to quickly boost their confidence or image, say for a wedding or new job, can some of these cosmetic procedures be done in one or two days ?

The Bioclear Method can be used to rebuild teeth, close the spaces between teeth, and close black triangles around teeth.  It can be used to fix a tooth or improve a whole smile.  And it usually is only one appointment

Do some insurance plans cover cosmetic dentistry or should patients expect to pay out of pocket?

Unfortunately no insurances cover any cosmetic dentistry.  

What separates you as a Cosmetic Dentist from other professionals in your field?

I give my patients a choice between improving their smiles with the Bioclear Method of the more traditional Porcelain Veneers.  I also see a lot of cosmetic dentistry that looks fake and not natural.  Many of my patients come to me looking for veneers that more natural looking.

With regard to braces, what are the different types you can choose from and why would older adults want or need them?

I use a rapid clear orthodontic system that generally takes 6 months or less. It is a quick, conservative way to straighten teeth for adults

Zoom whitening, and bonding can be done rather quickly

Do some insurance plans cover cosmetic dentistry or should patients expect to pay out of pocket?

insurance does not cover elective procedures, like cosmetics so the pay does pay out of pocket

Porcelain Veneers

With regard to braces, what are the different types you can choose from and why would older adults want or need them?

There are traditional braces which can be made of metal or ceramic and then we have options like Invisalign. Adults would want them because they are unhappy with the alignment of their teeth causing them to be self conscious or embarrassed to smile for photos or in public situations. They may need it because they have an improper bite causing TMJ issues, tooth wear, tooth pain, tooth sensitivity, headaches among other issues. 

For someone trying to quickly boost their confidence or image, say for a wedding or new job, can some of these cosmetic procedures be done in one or two days ?

The only procedure that can be done that quickly would be in office professional whitening. Most other cosmetic procedures will take multiple visits usually with a few weeks between visits.

They should expect to pay out of pocket. 

What separates you as a Cosmetic Dentist from other professionals in your field?

First and foremost its my passion for doing this type of dentistry. It is so gratifying and fulfilling to help someone get that beautiful, confident smile. Second would be my 25 years of experience coupled with my extensive continuing education and drive to keep learning from the best.

Some cosmetic dentistry is solving decay or fracture issues.  These can get insurance coverage.  Many other cosmetic procedures are not.

Invisalign is the most common for adults and works great for adults because it does not cause esthetic challenges during the process- most people cannot even see the Invisalign in your mouth.
