After Countless Delays, Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ Sticks the Landing Debuting at a Phenomenal $80 Million in Theaters and $60 Million on Disney Plus

The MCU hasn’t been letting up since a barrage of delays in the year prior. Its previous releases have been remarkably well-received by critics and audiences alike, akin to the eventful releases of the MCU’s theatrical counterparts; the several TV series that have been released on Disney Plus have been phenomenal, to say the least. On the theatrical side of the slate of Marvel releases, Black Widow keeps the momentum going, setting the marvelous tone for future releases.

Black Widow garnered a remarkable $80 million in its first weekend, breaking records and crushing the benchmark for the biggest box office debut since the global pandemic. The film stars Scarlett Johansson as the eponymous Black Widow, the MCU’s first female avenger. The film is directed by Cate Shortland, the director of films such as While at War, Berlin Syndrome, and Lore.

Originally slated for a 2020 premiere, Black Widow was severely delayed due to the global pandemic. After a long and grueling release schedule, audiences have expressed that it’s been well worth the wait. All of the film’s players have done an excellent job at delivering an exceptional film that continues a legacy of creative excellence within the revitalized Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With a massively successful theatrical release, Black Widow is setting a fantastic precedent for movie theaters that have been struggling to recover due to the global pandemic. Mass closures, capacity restrictions, and a low audience turnout have ravaged the movie theater industry, but Marvel seems to be changing all of that.

Universal’s F9: The Fast Saga previously broke box office records within the pandemic by debuting at $10.8 million. Black Widow completely shadows that achievement by becoming the new impossibly high benchmark. For the first time since the onset of the global pandemic, the domestic box office has surpassed $100 million in total revenues.

Currently, the overall weekend tally stands at $117 million, according to Comscore. Box office experts can rest assured that movie theaters can be revitalized and good films will bring audiences to the cinema, Black Widow serves as a testament to that statement.

“Having a record number of pandemic-era patrons at the multiplex being exposed to in-theater marketing and trailers on the big screen will help boost interest moving forward,” says Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst with Comscore. “However, the box office ebb and flow will continue as theaters work their way back to 100% availability.”

The success of Marvel’s Black Widow is a great win for movie theaters and movie fans alike. As the world inches closer toward returning to normalcy and the dust of the global pandemic settles, we can finally reclaim the events and the moments that we seem to have lost in the year prior.

Black Widow is only the beginning, as more Marvel films are slated to be released during the year. As the MCU reaches a new era, the pinnacle of cinematic experiences and the breadth of storytelling will only reach unprecedented heights. It’s such a great time to be a fan of movies, and the world is lucky to have these forms of entertainment that can bring out the best in all of us.

Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros Pictures Approves the Sequel for “Dune: Part Two”

Denis Villeneuve’s dream of completing his two-part adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel Dune is finally becoming a reality, as Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. approved its production. On Tuesday, Warner Bros Pictures announced that they are giving the green light on the sequel Dune: Part 2, which will hit the cinemas on October 20, 2023.

This is excellent news for fans of the first film Dune: Part One, a box office hit that debuted on October 22 with a massive earning of $40 million in domestic sales. The film was also a global hit amassing over $220 million at the box office, setting the record as the biggest opening of the year for Warner Bros. and the biggest of Villeneuve’s career.

In a statement, the filmmaker who is already at work on the script for the sequel shared his excitement with fans and said, “I just received news from Legendary that we are officially moving forward with ‘Dune: Part Two.” “It was a dream to adapt Herbert’s ‘Dune,’ and I have the fans, the cast, and crew, Legendary and Warner Bros. to thank for supporting this dream. But, this is only the beginning.”

Although the unprecedented effects of COVID-19 on the entertainment industry and the changing viewing habits of the audience cast a worrying shadow over the film’s financial potential, for Villeneuve, the decision of the Entertainment companies to make a sequel of the visually and emotionally extraordinary film came as no shock as he was confident of making a “Dune: Part Two” ever since the film was still in the post-production phase and its premiere at the Venice Film Festival.  The first part of the movie ends in a cliffhanger with the main characters on a deserted island; the upcoming sequel promises to shift the spotlight to Zendaya’s Chani with new twists and turns.

In an interview, the director told Total Film magazine, “There’s no such thing as ‘Dune 1’ and ‘Dune 2.’ It’s ‘Dune: Part One and ‘Dune: Part Two.” In fact, the writer/filmmaker started the sequel two months ago before it was even approved for production. He added that he only agreed to direct the movie adaptation of Herbert’s novel for Warner Bros. and Legendary if they let him split the book into two parts. He said, “It would take a total box-office disaster for “Part Two” not to get made.”

Sharing his motivation for taking on the project, Villeneuve, in an interview with Total Film, revealed that there has been talk in the past decades that it was impossible to adapt the novel into a movie. “The first thing I did was to prove that there is a beautiful and popular movie that can exist, and I proved that —everybody at Warner Bros and Legendary, they are 100 percent behind the project,” he shared.

Disney Delays Marvel Films

Source: Manila Bulletin

Disney has recently recalibrated its movie release calendar, with several Marvel Cinematic Universe films being delayed. While many would assume that the global health crisis might have something to do with this, a news article written by Variety reports that the delay is due to a production-related snowball effect, affecting the film slate for the year 2022 and beyond. As a result, Marvel fans may have to wait a little longer to see their favorite films on screen.

On the list of delayed releases of upcoming MCU films, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been moved from March 25, 2022, to May 6, 2022, while Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be shown on screen on July 8, 2022. Additionally, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s release has also been moved to a later date, from July 8 to November 11 of the same year. With the Black Panther sequel jumping to November, The Marvels has been postponed to early 2023, while the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been bumped from February 17 to July 28, 2023.

Aside from the deluge of MCU delays, Disney has also moved the fifth installment of Indiana Jones up to nearly a year from its original release date. The still-untitled film, which features Harrison Ford as a daring archaeologist in brown hues, is set to open on June 30, 2023, instead of July 29, 2022.

This tremendous shift came after the record-breaking success of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, becoming a box office hit film amid the pandemic era. However, reputable sources at Disney have confirmed that the significant scheduling overhaul is related to the films’ productions and not box office returns. As a matter of fact, the Black Panther sequel is still filming in Atlanta.

Because MCU has become an interconnected and meticulously planned universe, any production delay of one of the films can cause a domino effect on the franchise. If one has experienced delays during its filming stages, then fans have to expect late releases of the franchise’s upcoming films. On the other hand, the still-untitled Indiana Jones film was delayed due to Harrison Ford’s shoulder injury. Although the film’s director, James Mangold, continued filming some scenes without Ford, the movie requires a bulk of the star’s appearance as the story of Indiana Jones highly revolves around the adventurer.

While some of the MCU films have received delayed launches, others, which are largely untitled movies, have been removed from the calendar. However, one untitled Marvel movie was relocated from November 10 to November 3, 2023.

The global health crisis has truly shaken up the industry. After releasing Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson, 101 Dalmatians’ prequel Cruella, and animated film Raya and the Last Dragon on Disney Plus on the same day as their respective premieres in theaters, Disney has gone back to its commitment to the big screens with the remaining movies of 2021 set to play exclusively in theaters for 45 days before launching them Disney’s digital platform. For 2022 and beyond, the studio has not cemented any plans yet.

The Emerald Artya Awards Honor Artists From Around the World

ArtTour International Magazine remains the premier multimedia platform for artists worldwide. Continuing with the magazine’s tradition of honoring artists who create with a purpose, they have announced the annual Emerald Artya Awards will be held on the 12th of November. The awards will be presented in a virtual celebration in New York City.

The Emerald Artya Awards was created to celebrate artists and their work. Recipients of these awards are celebrated for their creative contributions to champion environmentalism, humanitarianism, and education. The work of these artists, while created with purpose, is still filled with vibrant color and imagery.

The award presented to the winners is the creation of Emerald Artya Awards founder Viviana Puello. Conceptualized as “Gaia’s Eye,” it is painted with 24K Italian gold leaf and features a Colombian emerald at its center. The EAA was established in 2017 when Viviana, as the editor-in-chief of ArtTour International Magazine, partnered with Artists for a Green Planet and Create4Peace. The collaboration between these three organizations sought to present an opportunity for artists to be part of something greater than themselves.

The Emerald Artya Awards was created to honor fifty of the world’s most talented artists as they create works of art that bring a positive change to the world. Coming from over 30 countries, these artists will come together to present their work and present their ideas and contributions to change the world for the better. Viviana Puello said, “These artists are to make a difference, not just for themselves, but for their community. And we want to celebrate their efforts while also shining a light on their projects so the rest of the world can hear their message.”

The awards are given to artist-activists who contribute to solutions to societal issues while maintaining their drive for growth and creative self-expression. This year, the Emerald Artya Awards will honor artists and their contributions to environmental and social advocacies. These individuals are known as conscious creators for transformational change and healing. The EAA seeks out artists who use their art in an effort to address various social, environmental, and economic issues.

ArtTour Magazine International is a multimedia platform for artists. They have print magazines that are available at major bookstores and newsstands worldwide. They also have a digital magazine distributed on the world’s leading digital platforms. Aside from their magazine, they also have an award-winning television show and podcast. On all of their platforms, ATIM is dedicated to supporting artists.

Aside from the Emerald Artya Awards, ATIM is also behind the creation of the ATIM Top Sixty Masters Awards. Dubbed as the “Oscars of the Visual Arts,” it is a publication that features 60 incredible artists from a pool of over 1,200 submissions. Curated by Viviana Puello, the publication spotlights top artists from across different art forms.

On November 12, from four to six pm EST, ArtTour International Magazine will present the Emerald Artya Awards with a virtual celebration. The ceremony will also be broadcast on over 20 channels worldwide. Art lovers, curators, artists, and art enthusiasts are more than welcome to tune in and join the celebration.

Viviana Puello, together with her husband Alan Grimandi, are the co-founders of ArtTour International Magazine. They are also the curators of the Grimandi Gallery in New York. To learn more about ATIM and the Emerald Artya Awards, you may visit this website.

Why hiring the right freelancer can benefit your business or launch your career as an indie artist

If you are on any of the social media platforms and want to use it to grow your business or build a community around your brand, it is highly recommended that you hire what is called a “Freelance marketer.”  For example, you could hire a freelancer to rank your website on Google or promote your music on Spotify or design your album covers, or do virtually anything you don’t know how to do yourself. I recently set out to find exceptional freelancers to interview but did not expect to discover one who is a multi-talented self-proclaimed “one stop shop” freelancer named Preston Hudman The Google Rapper.  I have not dealt with Hudman, but from the research I’ve done, I would consider this a trustworthy freelancer to approach because the first thing you must do is verify the identity of the freelancer and determine how much they are trying to conceal about themselves. The more they hide, the less you should trust them, and if it’s difficult to find the information, it means they are hiding it because finding a person’s real name should be simple if that person is trying to be a public figure.

Preston is easy to verify and appears to work directly with his clients without concealment. For example if a verified user makes a deal with you in the DM and does not try to involve other non verified users, that verified user is not going to scam you but if they try to get you to deal with a non verified person it’s probably a scam. The verified user might lose the badge if you can prove that they acted dishonorably by robbing you on Instagram. It takes years to build a reputation and moments to destroy one, so having a proven track record matters! Even if an anonymous seller is wonderful at something, it’s not practical for a long-term relationship, plain and simple. You will need someone who will take the time to address your concerns and who delivers impressive results at a clip that keeps you paying your bill. Your goal is finding a multi-talented freelancer you can trust and you should never have two freelancers doing the same job for you at the same time.

One of the things that makes Preston easy to verify is the age of his account and how far back his story can be traced by witnessing the content. He began in 2012 when he would upload Call of Duty videos to YouTube, ones that can now be seen on his channel, Preston Hudman. So you can learn a lot about a seller by researching them on Google, and it should not be hard to tell a real person with good intentions from the scammers who hide and send up red flags constantly. If the person has little to no content, it’s a red flag. If they are clearly trying hard for several years, that speaks volumes. So if you need help to grow your channel, or your music, or you want more people to follow you, Preston basically does it all for you if you pay him by the month. He also gives free advice in his SEO Infomercials on YouTube, and he claims to release his most helpful content to his YouTube channel members, which are not to be confused with channel subscribers because members are people who pay a monthly fee and get access to member’s only videos. It’s worth noting that at the time of writing this, Preston only charges $5 to join, and that is the lowest price YouTube allows. Members can be seen sounding off in his comments, so some people have chosen to see what all the fuss is about. By reading the testimonials on Preston’s website and verifying the identities of his clients, it appears that many high-profile celebrities are looking up to this guy. It’s hard to make sense of why these people who have such vast resources would be so “tapped in” to Preston but as far as we know he likes to teach his clients for free so that they like him more and that method of building trust does align well with what a good freelancer should be doing.

As freelancing work is a one-time job and in cases of upgrades or updates, you can get the same thing done from the same freelancer anytime.  Obviously performing multiple tasks that you don’t know how to do yourself is what makes for a strong candidate. With the right freelancer, your success is their success, and they’ll do their best to get you there. Unlike a large scale (supposedly) agency that has anonymous or difficult to verify owners and operators. So If you still dislike the idea of paying someone to help you grow online, please trust this sage advice:

You are not always the expert.

Sad but true, sometimes you are not an expert in a specialized field, and you can’t afford an expert in your office yet. Hiring a suitable freelancer for such a non-occurring expense is like a boon sent from heaven. They bring expertise without the hassle of employing someone, but if you do find one that is exceptional, you can hire them knowing it was the value proposition that made you do it. In other words, too much irresistible awesomeness.

One prestigious colleague of Preston’s is fellow rapper Forgiato Blow aka @forgiatoblow on Instagram, who has nicknamed Preston “The Google Rapper” as seen in a video on Preston’s page. I find it interesting that he uses his SEO knowledge and marketing abilities to advance his music career while also singing about Google and calling himself the Google Rapper… and he has 5 million steams? Is this actually working, or am I dreaming? Does the keyword stuff his rap lyrics and upload the lyric sheets??? Yes. Is that going to become a problem for the industry???? Yes. Lol Just messing 😉 …but what I’m not messing around about is the simple fact that Preston’s music is not very good as in “good sound quality” although I will certainly give him an “A” for inventiveness… I’m not actually convinced “effort” was involved. He’s making these songs in his room without nearly enough knowledge of how to produce Studio quality music. I mean it’s funny, and each song is only a minute long, but that’s because they lack a chorus/hook usually. His rap voice is on point, and in a studio under the supervision of professionals it would be fire, but IMO it’s a bad mix every time for Preston , I just have to be honest. I would say some songs are actually so simple that they do sound like studio quality, but that’s because it’s mostly just the beat, with hardly any lyrics. It’s not bad for a beginner, but how is he paying his bills with this? Why do celebrities with better content stand behind his?  I bet it’s because of the man, not the content. Getting the audience to respect you and thus watch your content is far better, apparently, than getting them to watch your content because they appreciate the content. The way you get them to respect you is by giving them so much value that they honestly feel obligated to help you whenever you need them too.

So content is not king. It can be dethroned.

The personality of Preston is what people like, and they consume his poor content out of respect, it seems. Or perhaps to them, he is like a community project where every method of faking it to make it is attempted so that eventually Preston acts as the gateway that these mundane, average people can use to rise up against the shrill army led by Google, Facebook, MySpace and AOL. Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha. I don’t think this guy has found the ultimate shortcut in life. Either his plan is foiled in the end when the system catches up to him, or he makes it because despite what we think of his content, he makes people want to keep consuming it, and it must be through hard work.

Before concluding this write-up , I will adopt Preston Hudman’s signature strategy for shouting people out by calling it a $@LUT€ and only naming people that I know will enhance your life if you follow these instructions…

  1. Follow them 2. Leave a comment that says “$@LUT€”.

Doing so should cause the person to follow back and engage with you. The benefits you get from meeting these people varies from person to person, but it should always be there if you look for it. So it’s not a form of promotion per se, it’s actually a purified form of promotion that has filtered out any motive besides actually wanting the reader to have an unforgettable experience. Therefore, when you are having the time of your life out there, please remember who put you on and who you can trust! That sounds groundbreaking for the influencer/advertising industry, and perhaps we should all start $@LUTING each other instead of doing traditional shout-outs or the ever disingenuous “Call to action”.

$@LUT€ to @cindycowan1000 … Cindy is verified on Instagram and always comments back. Having comments from verified users is very helpful to any business, I promise. It’s common sense, really.

$@LUT€  to @therealchadb on Instagram, who is collaborating with Preston Hudman on a song called “The Agency” that is supposed to be released before the end of the year. Chad is also verified and is a music producer who you can hire to make your next hit. Preston Probably should just pay Chad to make the song because then he might finally have a professional sounding mix. Anyways, this guy Chad B. is legendary for his kindness, according to Preston. Preston’s half of the song is about his struggle to make it and what it’s like when you do finally make it, and Chad B’s half of the song is about anti-conformity and brushing off the haters when doing what you love because having fun is the most important thing overall. They warn you in the song by saying that you may never “make it” the way you’re expecting too and that it’s not failure, but if you’re not having fun, you could mistake it for such and give upright when you are actually doing your best. Sounds like a trap. Preston knows about secret traps, it seems. @Corraddo is another verified user who is seen on camera praising Hudman’s ability to figure out YouTube’s mysterious traps. Chad’s part of the song was released on Preston’s Instagram page back in early September, and all of this information was obtained from that post.

So that concludes my post about why you should hire a freelancer, but it wound up being a deep dive into the career of a working freelancer, whose been trending up for 10 solid years and is now noticeably picking up speed. This is the proverbial Wheaties box in 2021 kids you don’t even have to leave your bedroom and can be the next Drake. In fact, you don’t need to sound good like Drake does because Preston Hudman plans to force the entire world to pretend to like his crappy, but inventive, but uniquely cringy music, so we must all learn from this Jedi master at once! I have a feeling that to make me a better musician, Preston is going to have to teach me a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with music.
