Following the awe-inducing success of the award-winning feature film “Happy Cleaners,” the masterful woman behind the leading role “Hyunny” is kicking off her character’s shoes and stepping into Dylan Park’s, a promising writer set to appear in the 7th season of “Younger.”

Represented by the renowned “Brillstein Entertainment” and “A3 Artists Agency,” Yeena Sung is the Korean actor garnering coveted reviews in the industry. Originally from South Korea, the versatile artist has been breathing in applause onstage and onscreen for over a decade.

Before kickstarting a celebrated career as an actor, Yeena first got her start as a lead in a musical in 2015. Her exhilarating experience onstage inspired a walk on the figurative ramp as a Bobbi Brown Spring Campaign Model the following year. 

In 2016 and 2017, she also dove into the lead roles of “The Edge of the Universe” at the People’s Improv Theater and in the independent short films “Love Me,” “Beyond the Pale,” and “Let’s Play Dead Girl.” Appearing on the latter as the supporting lead “Juda” showcased Yeena Sung’s artistic prowess, snagging a nomination for “Best Supporting Actress” at a prestigious film festival.

Her work on the film and her gracious personality off-camera won the hearts of many. With a growing following supporting her endeavors, Yeena’s career snowballed further into recognition and awed respect for her craft.

While earning a diploma from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts,  a bachelor’s degree from NYU Tisch and a master’s in Columbia University School of the Arts, Yeena Sung was also gracing famous New York City stages and clicked her heels at numerous red carpets for her onscreen projects. 

Her glowing portfolio carries souvenirs from New York Theatre’s “Out There!”, Lincoln Center’s “Campfire”, American Repertory Theater’s “Suds,” and “Twelfth Night,” where she wowed the crowd at the Classical Theatre of Harlem with her outstanding portrayal of Viola. 

Yeena Sung has also bowed to standing ovation as the lead of “Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi, Sci-Fi” at the decorated and only remaining Off-Off-Broadway theater, LaMaMa Experimental Club.

Her extensive onscreen experience stretches from roles in films such as “Noli Me Tangere” and “Clique Bait,” among others, and a feature in the EFC Films Feature Film “Furlough.” Yeena’s latest work, however, was what catapulted her to new heights.

On the CAAMFEST-awarded Hewes Films Feature Film “Happy Cleaners,” Yeena was recognized by critics as the talented and riveting presence giving life to the lead character, “Hyunny.” The film made its North American release last February 12, 2021, and has gained a passionate audience within the Asian-American community and beyond. 

Reviews of Yeena Sung boosted the film’s reputation as “a masterpiece that everyone should watch.” Yeena was especially praised for her moving performance as a “character who serves as a bridge between many perspectives shown in the film.” She was “effectively portray(ing) twenty-something Hyunny who grappled with entrepreneurial and romantic dreams” and successfully “convey(ing) her sense of isolation, slowly sensing that America’s opportunities are mirages.”

The first-rate actor’s skillful appearance on “Happy Cleaners” gave her the leverage and the background for a rare under-pandemic casting by Darren Star. The creator behind the hit TV series “Sex and the City” and “Emily in Paris” found boundless potential in Yeena Sung and offered her the guest role of Dylan Park in season seven of his American comedy-drama “Younger.” 

Dylan Park is a budding writer from Queens and will join the star-studded cast of Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, and Miriam Shor. As the season’s plot has been kept under wraps, Yeena’s fans remain at the edge of their seats for the premiere this summer.
