“Our mission is to empower veterans by harnessing the unique bonds they formed during their service,” says Landon Bentley, Executive Director and Founder of Warrior Ridge. “We provide a space where they can continue to support each other, heal, and thrive in their new lives.”

The Challenge Veterans Face

Returning to civilian life can be a daunting task for veterans. Many struggle with anxiety, depression, and PTSD as a result of their combat experiences. Statistics show alarmingly high rates of suicide among veterans, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive support systems. The intense and life-changing experiences faced during combat can leave lasting scars, making the transition to civilian life particularly difficult.

“After serving our country, many veterans feel lost and out of step,” Bentley explains. “They fought with a fierce purpose, but connecting with civilian life can be incredibly challenging.”

The Power of Brotherhood

Military service fosters a unique bond among team members, often referred to as brotherhood. This deep connection, forged through shared experiences and mutual reliance, is crucial for veterans adjusting to post-service life. Warrior Ridge harnesses the power of these bonds to provide a foundation for recovery and growth. The term ‘brother’ is used in the truest sense of the word, reflecting the unbreakable connections formed through shared hardship and mutual reliance.

“These bonds are incredibly strong and invaluable,” says Bentley. “They provide a level of understanding and support that is difficult to find elsewhere.”

Group Therapy and Its Success

Warrior Ridge stands out by reuniting veterans with their actual combat teammates rather than grouping them with strangers. This approach leverages the profound connections already formed in the heat of battle, ensuring that each member is supported by someone who truly understands their experiences.

“We don’t offer traditional therapy sessions,” explains Bentley. “Instead, we provide a space where veterans can reconnect with their comrades and take care of each other. The bond they share is a powerful tool for healing.”

This method has shown significant success, as veterans feel a renewed sense of belonging and purpose through the support of their brothers in arms. By emphasizing the importance of mutual care, Warrior Ridge fosters an environment where veterans naturally support one another, creating a powerful and effective support system.

“By giving them each other, we see incredible transformations,” Bentley notes. “The trust and camaraderie they share are unmatched, and it’s this connection that truly makes a difference.”

Services and Impact of Warrior Ridge

Warrior Ridge offers a range of services designed to support veterans, including retreats, group therapy sessions, and various wellness programs. Testimonials from veterans highlight the positive impact of these services, with many expressing gratitude for the renewed sense of purpose and community they have found. These programs are not just about providing therapy but also about fostering a sense of belonging and purpose.

“We’ve seen incredible transformations,” says Bentley. “Veterans who were struggling have found new hope and direction through our programs.”
