San Francisco, CA – March 20, 2025 — The Chinese Game Developer & Entrepreneur Summit – 2025 GDC Special Session, hosted exclusively by the Leading Entrepreneur Alliance (LEA), was successfully held in San Francisco on the evening of March 20. As the only post-GDC networking event globally tailored for the Chinese-speaking game development community, the summit took place just a five-minute walk from the official Game Developers Conference (GDC) venue and welcomed several hundred Chinese and international game developers, founders, and creatives. The event was sponsored by Autodesk.
Held under the theme of “Connect · Inspire · Co-Create”, the summit focused on topics such as indie game development, startup innovation, and global industry trends. More than a dozen game studios from China and North America set up booths to showcase their latest titles and original content. The event attracted executives from NetEase Games and Tencent Games, as well as industry professionals from EA, Riot Games, Amazon Games, Nintendo, Sony Games, and Blizzard Entertainment, all of whom engaged actively with the showcasing teams. The atmosphere was dynamic and collaborative, with interactive networking sessions facilitating meaningful dialogue between developers and potential partners.
Chao (Charles) Hu, Chairperson of LEA, and Zhihao Dong, Chairperson of the organization, remarked that the summit was designed to offer a global-facing platform for young Chinese entrepreneurs during GDC. “Our mission is to empower founders under 35 and support their long-term growth and sustainable value creation on the international stage,” said Hu and Dong.

Yixuan (Freya) Wu, Director of LEA and the event’s lead organizer, noted that the event went beyond a traditional networking mixer. “This is not just a social gathering — it’s a professional space where creative incubation, collaboration, and cross-border inspiration converge. We hope events like this will foster stronger connections between Chinese developers and the global games ecosystem, and encourage more Chinese creators to build international impact.”
Also attending the event were LEA Vice Chairpersons Qianxu Jin, Jiachen Zhan, and Estefany Wu Chen, who joined Freya Wu in welcoming guests and participating in discussions. Together, they expressed that the summit demonstrated not only the growing influence of Chinese creators in the global digital culture industry but also highlighted the entrepreneurial courage and innovation of a new generation of founders.

The venue featured exhibition and interaction zones, including indie game demo areas, live playtesting stations, and open sharing forums. The event sparked vibrant conversations and laid the groundwork for future cooperation across borders. Attendees included both local North American professionals and industry leaders traveling from China specifically for GDC, making the summit a unique bridge for international cultural exchange and creative business development.
Looking ahead, the Leading Entrepreneur Alliance will continue to build on the momentum of this summit by launching more high-quality, sector-focused events in core innovation hubs across the U.S. and beyond. With ongoing programs in technology, culture, and entrepreneurship, LEA aims to foster a globally connected community of creators and founders, helping them transform vision into sustainable ventures and collectively shape a more inclusive and innovative future.
