On June 21, 2026, community leaders, entertainers, public officials, entrepreneurs, educators, clergy, and advocates gathered at the Reign Event Center for an evening that was about far more than awards and recognition. The 2026 ICONIC Awards Show, presented by Telecast Media Group, served as a powerful reminder that leadership, collaboration, and community engagement remain essential in the ongoing fight against gun violence.
Under the leadership of Founder and CEO Michael Dockery and Co-Executive Producer Keith Neal, the ICONIC Awards has evolved into an established community event in Memphis. While the evening celebrated outstanding achievements and honored individuals making a difference throughout the region, its core mission centered on raising awareness, inspiring action, and uniting people around the shared goal of creating safer communities.
Hosted by veteran media personality Stan Bell, the invitation-only event brought together influential voices from across the Mid-South and beyond. Civic leaders, business executives, nonprofit organizations, law enforcement representatives, faith leaders, and entertainment figures all gathered under one roof to celebrate excellence while confronting one of the most pressing issues facing communities across America.
For Michael Dockery, the ICONIC Awards have always represented an opportunity to use visibility and influence for a greater purpose.
“Memphis is filled with extraordinary people doing extraordinary work every day,” Dockery said. “The ICONIC Awards allow us to recognize those contributions, but it also gives us a platform to address challenges that affect families, neighborhoods, and future generations. Gun violence continues to impact our communities, and we all have a role to play in creating solutions.”
That commitment has become the foundation of the ICONIC Awards. What began as a celebration of leadership and achievement has grown into a movement dedicated to encouraging positive change through awareness, collaboration, and community engagement.
Working alongside Dockery, Co-Executive Producer Keith Neal has been instrumental in helping shape the event’s vision and expand its impact. Neal’s leadership has helped create an environment where community leaders, policymakers, educators, business professionals, and entertainers can engage in meaningful dialogue while recognizing those who are making a difference.
Throughout the evening, speakers emphasized that addressing gun violence requires a comprehensive and long-term approach. Discussions focused on mentorship, education, economic opportunity, mental health resources, family support systems, and community involvement as critical components in preventing violence and creating pathways to success.
The event featured appearances by nationally recognized entertainers who supported the mission of promoting unity and hope. Among the special guests were acclaimed actor Ricco Ross, currently appearing in Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black, and award-winning actress and producer Elise Neal, known for her roles in The Hughleys and All of Us. Both celebrities lent their voices to the importance of investing in communities and creating opportunities for future generations.
Additional guests included actress Sydney Mitchell of BMF, actress Jasmine Burke of Beyond the Gates, respected faith leader Rev. Johnson Saulsbury, Judge Chris Fulla, and community advocate Sean Burke. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to violence prevention, community empowerment, and positive leadership.
The evening also recognized two distinguished members of the judiciary for their exceptional service to the community.
Judge Sheila Renfroe, who oversees the Mental Health Court, was honored for her compassionate leadership and unwavering commitment to helping individuals facing mental health challenges. Through her work, she has helped create pathways toward rehabilitation, recovery, and successful reintegration into society. Her efforts demonstrate the critical role mental health services can play in addressing underlying issues that often contribute to cycles of violence and instability.
Judge Jennifer Fitzgerald was also recognized for her distinguished leadership, dedication to justice, and commitment to strengthening the communities she serves. Her focus on fairness, accountability, and public service has positively impacted countless individuals and families throughout the region.
One of the evening’s most powerful moments came when attendees collectively reaffirmed their commitment to reducing gun violence. Judge Chris Fulla and Sean Burke publicly expressed their support for community-based solutions designed to create safer neighborhoods and provide young people with alternatives to violence.
Their message reflected a recurring theme throughout the event: communities cannot simply enforce their way out of violence. Sustainable change requires investing in people, creating opportunities, supporting families, and building strong partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Stories shared throughout the evening highlighted the resilience, determination, and service of individuals who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of others. Those stories served as reminders that positive role models, engaged citizens, and collaborative leadership remain essential to building stronger communities.

The event also provided opportunities for networking and partnership development. Business leaders, nonprofit organizations, educators, elected officials, clergy, and entertainment professionals connected throughout the evening, exploring ways to work together to address challenges and create opportunities across Memphis.
For many attendees, the ICONIC Awards represented a powerful example of what can happen when people unite around a common purpose. The event demonstrated that recognition and advocacy are not mutually exclusive; rather, they can work hand in hand to inspire meaningful change.
As gun violence continues to affect cities nationwide, the leadership of Michael Dockery and Keith Neal offers a model for how community events can be leveraged to spark important conversations and encourage action. By bringing together diverse voices and highlighting positive examples of leadership, the ICONIC Awards continue to serve as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for progress.
As the evening concluded, one message remained clear: ending gun violence will require collective effort, shared responsibility, and unwavering commitment. Through its mission, leadership, and impact, the 2026 ICONIC Awards continues to remind communities that when people come together with purpose, meaningful change becomes possible.
