For many, the Grammy Awards represent the zenith of musical accomplishment, a night where the stars align to honor the best in the industry. For Elizaveta Lyadova, renowned for her keen interest in the arts, culture, and fashion, attending the 2024 Grammys was a dream realized. Elizaveta’s journey from the urban sophistication of New York to the sunlit glamour of Los Angeles for the ceremony offers a unique perspective on this celebrated event. Below, she shares insights into her first Grammy experience, capturing the essence of the night through the eyes of a passionate music aficionado.

Welcome, Elizaveta! Was this your inaugural visit to the Grammy Awards?

Elizaveta: Yes, it was my very first time attending, and the experience was nothing short of magical. As a former model turned entrepreneur, this was a surreal experience that bridged two worlds – the world of fashion and the world of music. The Grammys have always been a symbol of excellence in music for me, and being there in person was a profoundly inspiring experience.

Can you share with us what it was like to step onto the red carpet surrounded by cameras and fellow attendees?

Elizaveta: Stepping onto the red carpet was surreal. A whirlwind of excitement and elegance. The energy was electric, and I felt a mix of excitement and anticipation as I made my way through the crowd of cameras and fellow attendees. It truly felt like a moment where the worlds of fashion and music collided, the collective celebration of music’s impact. It was a moment where every step felt like a part of music history in the making.

Your journey from the runways of fashion capitals to the Grammy Awards must have been quite a ride. How did your past experiences as a model shape your perspective on attending such a prestigious event?

Elizaveta: Absolutely. My background in the fashion industry gave me a unique lens through which to view the Grammy Awards. Seeing the intersection of fashion and music on the red carpet was particularly fascinating for me, as I could appreciate how both industries influence and inspire each other.

Whose Grammy attire captured your attention the most?

Elizaveta: Miley Cyrus’s dress,  a custom creation by designer John Galliano for Maison Margiela made of 14,000 gold safety pins, was absolutely breathtaking. Learning that it took 675 hours to create really put into perspective the level of dedication and artistry that goes into every aspect of the Grammys, not just music.

Can you tell us about some of your standout moments from the evening?

Elizaveta: The highlight of the evening was Miley Cyrus’s performance of “Flowers,” which stood out to me for its energy and beauty. I was rooting for her to win the Grammy; she deserves it. Her talent, beauty, and energy are outstanding. Also, witnessing Billy Joel’s emotional performance of his new single “Turn the Lights Back On” was a powerful moment that gave me goosebumps. Additionally, seeing Billie Eilish perform live for the first time was truly remarkable.

As someone who’s now experienced The Grammys firsthand, how did it measure up to your expectations?

Elizaveta: The Grammys exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s one thing to watch the event on television, but experiencing the energy, the performances, and the sheer celebration of music in person is incomparable. The passion for music is palpable, and it’s a reminder of its power to bring people together.

Would you consider attending the Grammys again in the future?

Elizaveta: Without a doubt. The Grammys are not only a celebration of musical achievement but also a gathering of a community passionate about the arts. I would relish the opportunity to experience this remarkable event again.

Attending the Grammy Awards seems like a dream come true for any music enthusiast. How did the experience impact you personally and professionally as an entrepreneur?

Elizaveta: The experience was incredibly humbling and inspiring. It reminded me of the power of music to unite people and inspire change. Professionally, it reinforced the importance of pursuing one’s passions and dreams. As I continue on my journey as an entrepreneur, I carry with me the lessons learned from the worlds of fashion and music, knowing that anything is possible when you dare to dream big.
