Jesse Benson: Environment’s Impact on Health, Fitness, Diet

By: Strategy Achievers LLC

Environments have some of the most powerful influences on people’s lives. Not the trees, the landscape, or the beautiful ocean. Those, too, might impact quality of life, but not as much as the individuals people surround themselves with. Who become their environment and their source of influence.

Who are you surrounding yourself with?

Family, friends, colleagues, and other social groups greatly affect how one lives. They influence decision-making. Like when people do things that don’t fulfill them to please their families or friends.

Home setups and work influence the choice of food and nutrition, peace of mind, habits, etc.

Jesse Benson explains that for one to experience real change in their life, the first step should be looking into their surroundings. If the environment does not align with their aspirations, it’s time to change it.

Reading self-improvement books and watching TED talks is great, but their impact on behavioral change is limited compared to surrounding yourself with people who influence your life positively.

A Circle of Like-minded People

Different methods can be used to improve health, fitness, diet, and behavior. But if they don’t work as envisioned, or no tangible positive change is seen in your life, the environment might be working against you. Unless you address this, working on yourself might not achieve your desired long-term effect.

Changing one’s environment is one of the most overlooked things, yet it can bring tangible and longer-lasting changes to your health and fitness. If you want to be healthy, start by joining a community of other healthy people. For example, hiring a personal trainer means adding another person to your inner cycle. One who is positive, who cares, helps set goals, holds you accountable for those goals, pushes you to new limits, checks on what you eat, checks in to see how you are doing, and more.

Personal trainers help instill discipline in caring for your body and change how you view exercise and other healthy lifestyle choices. Interacting with them can help you become healthier, fitter, and stronger and achieve your body goals.

In essence, they become the healthiest influence in your life. The better the trainer, the more they’ll impact your mindset and make you strong enough to change your environment.

An Integrated Fitness Environment

Jesse Benson created Fit Integrated Wellness as the right environment to positively influence clients to achieve their health goals. They help them understand the importance of living a healthy life, the impact of nutrition, and why they should care about what they consume.

They teach them how to care for their bodies through exercise and physical rehabilitation techniques. When you walk into a Fit Integrated Wellness facility, you meet a community of new people to walk with you on your fitness journey.

There is a massage therapist who demonstrates stretching techniques and breathing exercises and provides valuable insights during your sessions. Then there’s the physiotherapist, whose sessions encompass extensive discussions aimed at comprehending and identifying the origins of pain, injuries, and imbalances in your body, emphasizing the significance of examining the overall environmental factors. And a personal trainer to guide you through various workouts, help plan a fitness program, and hold you accountable to your goals.

Community classes to help people surround themselves with more health-positive people are also a part of the deal. All these people become a part of your new environment to help you live a healthier and fulfilling lifestyle and offset what your current environment is limiting you from achieving.
