From Psych Ward to Global Stages: Leanne Rose’s Unconventional Approach to Personal Transformation

By: Elena Mart

There’s a growing shift unfolding behind the scenes of the personal development world. It isn’t loud, and it doesn’t rely on gimmicks. It’s grounded in experience, unflinching honesty, and a strong yet open-minded belief in what’s possible. At the center of it is Leanne Rose—a psychotherapist turned spiritual teacher who is helping people reimagine healing not as a process of fixing what’s broken, but as an invitation to remember who they’ve always been.

Leanne’s career began in clinical settings, where she worked as a Mental Health Nurse and Psychotherapist. But despite her education and years of hands-on experience, something felt incomplete. “I was teaching all the right things,” she recalls, “but when I applied them to myself, I wasn’t experiencing the shifts I expected. I was doing everything ‘correctly’ and still felt stuck.”

That feeling of stagnation led her to a deeper question: What if the system itself was only telling part of the story?

This question became the seed of Leanne’s next chapter—one that would take her far beyond traditional practice and deep into less conventional waters. What followed wasn’t just a pivot. It was a profound personal evolution.

Rather than choosing between science and spirit, Leanne sought to integrate them. She began combining psychotherapy with spiritual exploration, experimenting with energetic practices and intuitive channeling. “It wasn’t about abandoning evidence-based work,” she says. “It was about recognizing the parts of us that data alone can’t measure.”

Her approach resonated with clients in search of something more grounded than mainstream manifestation advice—and more expansive than conventional talk therapy. With a practice that now includes Hollywood actresses, bestselling authors, and high-level entrepreneurs, Leanne’s message has reached people at the highest levels of influence.

She’s quick to emphasize, however, that her work isn’t just for the elite.

“This isn’t about perfection. It’s not even about healing in the traditional sense. It’s about offering people permission to believe that life can feel different. That they don’t necessarily have to carry the stories they’ve inherited or the roles they were told to play.”

Her own story gives her words weight. Leanne has been open about her past struggles with depression and the long road she walked before discovering the inner peace she now teaches. “At one point, depression was the lens I saw the world through,” she says. “Now, it’s rarely part of my experience.”

That evolution came through deep inner work and a shift in perspective about how fluid our identities can be. “When I stopped talking about my trauma and started rewriting who I believed myself to be, many things began to shift.”

Today, Leanne is known for her signature modality that blends somatic work, spiritual insight, and her unique approach to embodied channeling—a practice where she allows insights from what she describes as Source to flow through her.

While this might draw skepticism in more traditional circles, Leanne is refreshingly grounded about it. “It’s not about performance. It’s not about spectacle. It’s about truth. And people often feel when something is coming from a place of deep truth.”

She acknowledges that embracing her gift publicly was one of her biggest challenges—not because she doubted it, but because she was uncertain how it would be received. “As a clinician, talking about channeling felt risky. But I also knew I wasn’t alone. So many professionals explore spirituality privately. I just chose to do it out loud.”

That choice paid off. Today, Leanne leads a global community that’s not just interested in transformation—it’s actively engaging in it. Her teachings center around what she calls Ultimate Self Mastery: the idea that we each may hold the keys to our own reality and that real change can begin when we reconnect with our own power.

She teaches from a place of lived experience and deep reflection, drawing as much from the clients she serves as the wisdom she channels. “I often say: life is happening for you, not to you. That lens alone has the potential to change everything.”

Her sessions, programs, and memberships attract clients from around the world, many of whom attribute their breakthroughs—whether in relationships, creativity, or self-acceptance—to her work.

But Leanne is clear: this is not an instant solution.

“This work takes commitment. It asks people to be radically honest. Not everyone’s ready for that—and that’s okay. I’m not for everyone.”

That clarity has become one of her greatest strengths. In a crowded marketplace of coaches and healers, Leanne doesn’t chase validation. She speaks to those who are ready to listen—and lets the rest go with grace.

Looking ahead, her vision is ambitious. She’s currently expanding her offerings through the “We Are God” movement, a global call to action that encourages people to stop outsourcing their power and start embodying it together.

“I don’t want to just work with individuals,” she explains. “I want to contribute to a shift in collective consciousness. I want to see a world where more people discover how to access peace, joy, and confidence without waiting for external permission.”

With a forthcoming PhD in transpersonal psychology in progress and plans to grow one of the world’s largest manifestation memberships, Leanne’s mission is only expanding.

But her heart remains the same.

“I just want people to know they’re not broken,” she says. “They’re not behind. They’re not too late. They’re just waiting to remember who they already are.”
