A Rising Star in New York: Jesse Arthur Carroll’s Journey from Vancouver to the Big Apple.

With over 500 voice credits and seven successful Hallmark films under his belt, the future looks bright and promising for Jesse Arthur Carroll, a celebrated  Canadian actor and voice-over artist taking over the New York City scene.

Jesse Carroll was born in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, raised in Victoria and Nanaimo, and moved to Vernon, British Columbia when he was 18. After spending his twenties in Vernon, he went to Vancouver. Jesse is a successful stand-up comedian for a decade. During that time, he performed in various venues in New Zealand and Australia, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Perth Fringe, and the Adelaide Fringe. Jesse made the decision to focus on his acting and voice-over career, where he is presently one of the fastest-rising talents in the industry.

Jesse went from an aspiring actor to being regarded as a high-caliber talent in the acting and voice-over industry in just a few years. Jesse is in demand due to the high-profile clients he has worked with in the past, such as Hilton, Princess Cruises, Orange Theory, Molson, Bareface Whiskey, Walmart, Cheerios, Honda, Toyota, and Dell. Other clients include Amazon, Saks, GoPro, and Nintendo. Jesse also starred as a narrator for the first season of Backroad Truckers, which is available to stream now on Hulu and was previously broadcasted on History Channel. The second season of the said show is scheduled to premiere this 2023. He also received three outstanding nominations for the One Voice Awards. Due to his reputation and remarkable works, Jesse Carroll has also been selected to serve as a judge for the 2022 Society of Voice Arts and Sciences Awards (SOVAS), the most prestigious awards ceremony in the voice-over industry and is comparable to the Oscars, Emmys, and Tonys.

In addition to that, his acting career has also skyrocketed. Jesse Carroll’s performance in the leading roles of Hallmark’s “A Summer Romance” and “The Haley Dean Mysteries” demonstrated that he possesses acting skills of the highest caliber. In the short film “Smoke Eater,” in which he played the lead character of Kurt, he again gave a convincing performance, which resulted in the movie being selected to be featured at the New Hampshire Film Festival, which is an Oscar Qualifying event for short films. The film was also shown at the Whistler Film Festival, one of Canada’s most renowned and well-attended film festivals. Jesse also played the lead part of Agent Mcgrath in “The Imperfects,” which is a Netflix Originals series. His character was one of the most important in the said show.

Like many of us, Jesse has had to contend with his problems in his personal life. When questioned about the most challenging obstacles he had to overcome, the artist responded that believing in himself proved to be the most difficult. Despite being talented, Jesse questioned his abilities and wondered if he had what it takes to be successful in America. But Jesse did not let his inner saboteur prevent him from doing what he set out to do. Jesse pushed himself harder and dedicated years to showcase his passion. He turned his self-doubt into a driving force that propelled him forward in his work.

For Jesse, there are a few words he has returned to repeatedly that have helped fuel both his work ethic and his enthusiasm. One of these lines is, “Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now”. – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, as well as “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity,” as said by Albert Einstein. Whenever Jesse found himself confronted with insurmountable challenges, he turned to these quotations for motivation. The advice that he hopes to impart to everyone is that they should start working toward their goals as soon as possible and not put it off until tomorrow. Stop prolonging what could have been because you continuously doubt yourself. He emphasized once more that you should welcome all your challenges because they may be the opportunity you have been seeking to get you to that goal.
