On Saturday, February 8th, 2025, I had the privilege of attending Runway 7 Fashion Week, alongside my daughter Amanda Pressly, my sister Danise Talbot, and Amanda’s best friend, Isabela Romas. We checked into The Paramount Hotel Feb. 7th & had dinner at Fushimi Time Square. We were invited the next day as VIPs, seated front and center at the renowned Sony Hall in Times Square, New York. This exciting day marked Amanda and Isabela’s first Fashion Week experience, and it was nothing short of spectacular.
Runway 7 is celebrated for its integration of international designers, celebrities, and a diverse array of cultural influences. Known for its dedication to showcasing must-see shows, performances, and installations, the company’s impressive reputation is highlighted by a 4.93 out of 5-star rating on Google Reviews, the Best Fashion Platform Award in 2024, and multiple accolades for outstanding service and leadership.
Throughout the day, Runway 7’s shows dazzled with a remarkable mix of established and emerging talent. From the bold statement pieces at the “Adore Me” showcase to the futuristic streetwear by Andre Vasquez, the energy in the room was palpable. Day 2 was a celebration of high fashion, with designers like Jimmy Jacobs and Sapphire Kulture presenting collections that fused elegance with innovation.
A standout moment was Lucia Noir’s ethereal gowns, with intricate beadwork that created a dreamlike aesthetic, and the debut of metallic fabrics in Andre Vasquez’s futuristic streetwear collection. The night closed with a breathtaking collection by Alexander Roswell, whose sculptural designs earned a standing ovation from the audience.
Recap of Day 4: New York Fashion Week
The Bold Impact of the Fit & Flare Silhouette and Tulle Ruffles
On Saturday, February 8th, 2025, Runway 7 took center stage with a memorable showcase of creativity and design at Sony Hall, featuring some of the season’s most captivating trends. As the day unfolded, the Fit & Flare silhouette and tulle ruffles became defining elements in collections from a range of emerging and established designers.
Throughout the day, the front-row seats buzzed with excitement as fashionistas, influencers, and models—including the user and their guests Victoria Talbot- Pressly VP Media, Amanda Pressly, Danise Talbot, and Isabella Ramos—witnessed these incredible transformations. From the avant-garde to the ethereal, it was clear that New York Fashion Week was a season full of bold experimentation and timeless elegance.

H!Run’s Avant-Garde Take: Sculptural Precision Meets Futuristic Flair One of the standout moments came from H!Run, where the designer transformed the Fit & Flare silhouette into a futuristic work of art. The sharp angular shoulders of the sculptural bodice and the asymmetrical flare showcased a masterful fusion of tailoring with cutting-edge design, highlighting a new direction for the classic shape.
House of Julyet Peters: Playful Elegance Meets Oceanic Inspiration In contrast, House of Julyet Peters brought a softer, fluid feel to the silhouette, with their stunning royal blue velvet dress flowing into a beaded wave-like skirt that mimicked the ocean’s movement. The ethereal, ocean-inspired look captivated the audience, effortlessly blending elegance with an artistic interpretation of nature’s beauty.
Drisha Closet: Angelic Charm with a Romantic Touch For a more celestial, romantic flair, Drisha Closet’s white feathered mini-dress offered a dreamlike silhouette, with its voluminous skirt and delicate feathers creating a soft, angelic look. The piece radiated both movement and charm, leaving a lasting impression with its delicate, almost otherworldly beauty. Miss Universe Elite USA walked the runway and really stood out as she held the hand of the designer on the runway. The audience and press went crazy!

Tulle Ruffles: A Striking Trend with Many Faces While the Fit & Flare silhouette dominated the day, tulle ruffles emerged as a key trend across various collections. The N-Kouture collection stood out with its regal interpretation of tulle, layering vibrant hot pink tulle and silver embellishments to create a princess-like vision that perfectly complemented the fairytale theme.
Meanwhile, Beautiful Khaos x Indikids reimagined tulle as a bold street-style fabric, pairing black structured tulle with a leather corset for a more contemporary, edgy aesthetic. Drisha Closet, ever the romantic, continued to offer softer, more whimsical takes, combining blush-toned tulle ruffles with angelic feathered wings to capture a sense of fairy-tale magic.

As the shows continued into the evening, from H!Run’s futuristic flare to Drisha Closet’s dreamlike creations, the day left fashion enthusiasts—yourself included—captivated and inspired, eagerly awaiting what the next day would bring. The combination of these diverse interpretations of the Fit & Flare silhouette and tulle ruffles showcased the versatility of fashion this season, solidifying them as key trends to watch in the upcoming months. The day’s atmosphere was electric, and being seated in the VIP section gave us an up-close view of the incredible talent on display. I left the event feeling inspired by the creativity and craftsmanship that defined New York Fashion Week this season. A Season of Versatility and Creativity From the sculptural experiments of H!Run to the romantic whimsy of Drisha Closet, New York Fashion Week on February 8th, 2025, confirmed the season’s bold shift towards blending dramatic structure with softness. These trends—tulle ruffles and Fit & Flare silhouettes—highlighted a season where the unexpected blended with the traditional, offering fashion lovers a mix of both worlds.
It was a great experience, and I’d definitely love to return in the future.
