Yurii Dobrianskyi, CEO of a new platform for finding and hiring developers Devler.io, recognized as “Top 100 USA Entrepreneur with Ukrainian Origins.”

By: Donna Wattley

Today, we will talk about Devler.io – a promising platform created to connect skilled European developers with clients and their products from all over the world. Let’s get to know more about it from the Founder and CEO of this company, “TOP-100 US entrepreneurs of Ukrainian origin” nominee – Yurii Dobrianskyi.

Please tell us briefly about yourself.

I’m Yurii Dobrianskyi, and, as mentioned before, founder of Devler.io and co-founder and CEO of Innovation Feel – a software outsourcing company specializing in Ruby on Rails. Actually, with the RoR framework, I have some special bonding due to my previous experience in Senior and Tech Lead positions.

It can be said that my work as a Tech Lead, a strong background as a CEO of Innovation Feel (currently, I’m still the CEO there) and the latest trends in the IT industry with remote working etc., created a specific approach to build something new and unique. And here is where the Devler.io story begins

Also, one of the most important recent events is participation in the TOP USA Awards. I’m glad to be one of the “TOP-100 US entrepreneurs of Ukrainian origin”.

What is your company in 2–5 words?

Delver.io – Devs Network from Europe 🚀

Why is now the time for your company to exist?

After analyzing the worldwide IT market, it can be easily noticed that with high-speed internet and a bunch of tools for remote work, the world isn’t that big, so the focus on remote working has been highly increased.

The way we thought about Devler.io was to build a network between clients and developers, with a focus on remote working and keeping up with Work-Life Balance. If you are a client, you will meet vetted IT professionals, guarantees, trust and a simple way of speaking. Whenever you are a developer, you will get more freedom, a feed of projects you can choose and fair competitive compensation.

What do you love about your team?

I just love to work with them 🙂 We all collaborate to make Devler.io powerful day after day. So, what I like about our team is that we are all the way out and have different roles and responsibilities. Still, together, we are strong and confident enough to introduce Devler.io to the world, making the platform as useful and features for both sides, as for developers and clients.

If you weren’t building your startup, what would you be doing?

I would still think about doing it anyway 😊 I thoroughly enjoyed the fast-paced environment in the IT industry and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies.

If I wasn’t working in technology, I’d probably be pursuing a career as a Professional Snowboarder. I’ve been snowboarding a lot for years, and I enjoy this much. While I ultimately chose a career in technology, this hobby has always been an important part of my life, and I try to make time for it whenever possible.

What can you tell us about the TOP USA Awards?

Recently, on July 22 in New York, the prestigious TOP USA Awards ceremony and event took place. The event brought together “TOP-100 US entrepreneurs of Ukrainian origin” who develop innovative ideas, projects and startups in the US market. And I was honored to be one of them.

In addition to highlighting the important contribution of Ukrainian entrepreneurs to the development of American businesses, one of the goals of the event was to raise funds in a charity auction, from which fifty percent of ticket sales and 100% of the proceeds were sent to the Cash For Refugees fund.

This is a great opportunity to support Ukrainian families affected by the large-scale Russian invasion and provide them with the help they need.

At this bright and necessary business event, experts from many industries were introduced, who were able to get the necessary contacts, exchange business ideas and also get known. Plus, all of the Top 100 Entrepreneurs are featured in a unique book that tells incredible stories of success, dedication, and innovative thinking.

At the moment, how do you measure success? What are your metrics?

Since Devler.io’s primary goal is to match clients and developers, success can be gauged using a number of measures, such as:

Matching rate: the percentage of clients who are successfully connected with developers. A greater matching rate shows that our platform works properly in pairing customers with qualified developers.

Time to match: This metric indicates the length of time it takes to match a customer and a developer. A quicker time demonstrates how effective and client-responsive our platform is.

Quality of matches: This indicator evaluates how happy clients and developers are with their corresponding matches. The quality of matches can be evaluated, and areas for improvement can be found by gathering feedback from both sides.

In a few sentences, what do you offer to whom?

We provide staff augmentation services to our clients. Our vetted network of offshore software developers from Europe represents great cost-ration value to businesses from all over the world, assisting them in developing high-quality software answers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

What’s most exciting about your traction to date?

Both clients and developers have expressed satisfaction with Devler.io, praising its usability and success in connecting the right talent with the right project. This encouraging feedback has assisted us in luring additional customers.

Ultimately, the Devler.io potential for expansion and continuous success in connecting clients with the top developers for their projects are the most intriguing aspects of the platform’s traction to date.

Where do you think your growth will be next year?

We anticipate significant growth in the coming year as more businesses turn to hire more remote software engineers from Europe for a bunch of reasons. Some of them are:

  • Rich talent pool: almost 5 million engineers across Europe
  • Stunning tech background: Engineers here are incredibly confident in their learning and practicing of skills, participating in a diverse range of projects (e-commerce, fintech, healthcare, IoT, AI, and so on) and gaining valuable experience.
  • Fair rates: According to statistics, the average hourly rate for a developer in Ukraine is $30-$60; in Poland, it is $45-69; in Bulgaria it is $39-56, and so on.
  • Expressive soft and English skills: The level of spoken and written English among software engineers in this region is quite high.

What’s your biggest threat?

What could go wrong? Given the impending recession, many companies are beginning to cut staff, including technical staff, resulting in a slowdown or halt in product development. So, an increase in the number of developers without projects. It allows applicants to tighten the selection and manipulate rates. Because there are many willing developers for one proposal, preference is given to stronger candidates with a suitable rate, as we are already seeing.

Considering the foregoing, developers must now actively consider developing skills in trend areas such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, and WEB 3.0, as well as updating their current knowledge of their core technologies in order to remain competitive in the market.

To Sum Up

It is obvious that Devler.io is more than just a platform; it also serves as a symbol of the transformative potential of innovation and teamwork. While platforms like Devler.io continue to open doors for companies to flourish, adapt, and succeed in a linked global economy, the “Top 100 USA Entrepreneurs with Ukrainian Origins” event highlights the achievements of businesspeople who have carved out amazing pathways.
