Robby and Kelly Dinero’s journey from the gym industry to junk removal might seem unexpected, but it’s deeply rooted in their core values of faith, family, and service. Their story is one of transformation, resilience, and creating a lasting impact on their community. Through their business, JDog Junk Removal, they’ve discovered a renewed sense of purpose, aligning their work with a mission to help others.
Before entering the junk removal business, Robby and Kelly ran a thriving gym for nearly 11 years. But despite their passion for fitness, they reached a pivotal moment. “We just didn’t have the fire in our bellies anymore,” Robby admits. “I wasn’t coaching anymore. I was just cheering on others. It was time to move on.” This realization sparked the search for something new, and unexpectedly, their next adventure would come knocking in the form of junk removal.
Within 24 hours, both Robby and Kelly received messages that would change their lives. Robby was contacted by a business broker, and Kelly heard from a headhunting service. “I thought, this is crazy, but what if this is the sign we’ve been waiting for?” Robby recalls. It was that sense of timing that led them to JDog, a veteran-owned franchise that seemed to align well with their values. “The values of respect, integrity, and trust that JDog upholds were a strong match for who we are,” Kelly explains. “It just felt like a natural fit for us.”
Robby and Kelly’s unique backgrounds in the Marine Corps and education have had a profound influence on their business model. Robby’s military experience instilled a mission-focused mindset that he applies every day. “The Marine Corps taught me to focus on the mission,” he says. “In junk removal, every job is a mission. You set a goal, and no matter the obstacles, you work toward getting it done.” Kelly, a former teacher, emphasizes the importance of building relationships. “It’s all about relationships—whether with students or clients,” she says. “Trust is what keeps customers coming back.”
But the Dinero team doesn’t simply remove junk; they provide genuine support during some of their clients’ most difficult times. Whether someone is grieving the loss of a loved one or feeling overwhelmed by clutter, Robby and Kelly understand the emotional weight these situations carry. “When people call us, they’re often in distress,” Robby shares. “We’re not just removing junk; we’re offering assistance through tough times.” Whether it’s clearing out a hoarder’s home or assisting someone whose house has been damaged in a storm, Robby and Kelly approach each task with a servant’s heart.

One memorable experience for Kelly involved helping two sisters clean out their late mother’s home. “They didn’t know where to start,” Kelly recalls. “It was emotional for them, but we helped them create a plan and worked alongside them throughout the process.” The Dinero team’s combination of empathy and professionalism sets them apart. “We treat every customer’s home like it’s our own,” Kelly says. “We respect their space, their belongings, and their emotions.”
Their commitment to service is one of the driving forces behind the success of their business. “There will be highs and lows in business, but you have to push through,” Robby advises. “We do this because we want to serve people. That’s our mission.” Even during challenging moments, their focus on service keeps them motivated.
The Dinero family’s story also highlights the powerful role family plays in business. Their children are actively involved in the day-to-day operations, with their eldest son managing one of the trucks. “Our kids are a vital part of the business,” Kelly says. “They help with everything—from sorting scrap to being featured in our social media posts.” Even their youngest children are learning the value of hard work and community service. This family-centered approach not only strengthens their bond but also fosters a culture of teamwork within the business.
Robby and Kelly Dinero’s journey illustrates that success isn’t just about making money—it’s about living with purpose, making a difference, and cultivating meaningful relationships along the way. “We’ve built this business around our core values,” Kelly shares. “We’re not just helping people with junk; we’re helping them reclaim their lives.” Their story is one of courage, faith, and an unwavering dedication to both their family and their community.
