This song is rooted in the artist’s personal experience, but it is made universal through the art of music. At only sixteen years old, K2icyy is already making his mark in the music industry, and he is sure to be the next big artist music lovers should keep an eye on.

The track “Big Rock” is popular among K2icyy fans as it features smooth rhymes and a fun beat. But it was actually inspired by a break-up. K2icyy explained, “Break-ups are hard. But you know what they say when life gives you lemons, right? So I made lemonade in the form of this song. And even though it came from a break-up, this song quickly became one of my favorite songs that I wrote.”

K2icyy has seen massive success with “Big Rock” on social media. The reception this song received from fans has inspired this young artist to keep working and making more music. “I put my heart and soul into this song, and I’m grateful that so many people love it. Their support keeps me going,” the rapper said. 

Even with his music career picking up, K2icyy still prioritizes his education. While writing and recording music or performing live at events, he balances his time to include academics and sports. “I’m young, and I have my whole life ahead of me, but I want to build a great foundation too. School is important, and so are my other hobbies like playing football and running track. This balance in my life will be good for me in the long run,” K2icyy shared.

A young talent with many interests, K2icyy states that music has been a part of his life since he was two years old. “I started rapping when I was two,” he said, “and my family has always told me that I was cold with it when making my music, so that’s where I got my rap name from.” He grew up in a home filled with music, so it is no surprise that he chose to forge a path in the music industry. “My older brothers made music before me, which also inspired me to continue the dream.” 

Music has been a lifeline for K2icyy, and he pursued it more seriously when the pandemic hit. He explained, “Music can transport anyone to a place of comfort. That is one of the reasons why I love it so much. And when the pandemic happened, and lockdowns were put in place, I suddenly had a lot of time. So I took everything that inspired me, the sounds and beats that made me feel good and took it to the studio to make music. I figured that music could be a great way for me to touch my peers positively during these difficult times.”

K2icyy has big goals for his music career. He hopes to work with other artists in the future. Currently, he is working towards going on more school tours to perform his songs. “I performed at my high school’s homecoming dance, and it was one of my proudest moments. So I definitely want to perform in more school events. Perform at schools now, then perform at sold-out concerts in the future.”This rising rap artist is busy promoting his latest single, “Big Rock,” available on all music streaming platforms. “I have also dropped the music video for this song,” K2icyy said, “It was such a fun project. I’m happy I finally get to share it with the world.”
