While many factors can drive a person to move forward, the most significant factor anyone can use to continue marching on are the trials and tribulations they overcame. In an unforgiving world, individuals like Tay’lor Jordan Binyard have managed to turn their hurt and struggles into steps on a ladder, allowing them to climb to greater heights.
Born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, Tay’lor Jordan Binyard is one of Garden State’s latest female moguls. She is a young entrepreneur and model who has grown a strong reputation throughout the TriState area. Known to her friends as Tay, she has been described as a healing woman who overcame formidable obstacles early in life and used her struggles to motivate herself and others around her.
“I come from a strong family background filled with success but still endured consistent abuse throughout life physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually,” she said.
Tay’lor spent her adolescent years learning about what made her truly happy and finding things that defined her. By 17, she became a mother without a clue on how to parent. While it would have been a setback to many others, Tay’lor managed to return to school, graduating as a medical assistant, becoming a licensed emergency responder, and obtaining a degree in business. “Those careers were ideal but didn’t fulfill my happiness,” Tay’lor shared. “I wanted more for myself.”
As she entered her 20s, Tay’lor was diagnosed with an incurable gastrointestinal disease called Chrons, putting her life on pause. She was hospitalized and spent eight months in recovery. Her physician shared that she was one of the youngest patients who almost lost her life. And it was during these troubling events that Tay’lor used her free time to appreciate art and the different ways to produce it.
Once fully recovered, Tay’lor Jordan Binyard found pleasure in using her vacant time to write, sketch, photograph, direct photography and videography sessions, scout for sets, and model. Her ventures proved fruitful as she started getting booked to coordinate various events, opening the doors for more opportunities where she found herself hosting and appearing in music videos for established artists like Famous Dex, Fetty Wap, Cony, and more. Additionally, Tay’lor found herself arranging travel packages as she accepted booking requests based on customer preferences.
“I withheld many insecure phases in life due to my traumatic surgery,” shared the mogul, “I wasn’t secure with myself as I should have been. I didn’t appreciate my beauty.” However, once Tay’lor learned her self-worth, she started to appreciate her past experiences more.
Today, Tay’lor uses her voice to advocate for domestic violence, childhood trauma, and gastrointestinal diseases, educating others through the real-life experiences she went through that built but failed to break her.
Tay’lor Jordan Binyard is currently working on her first book, covering the trials and tribulations she had to overcome. She is also set to launch her unisex clothing line, “Tastee Apparel,” which will launch this year. With many ventures keeping her busy, Tay’lor foresees her career transitioning into a motivational speaker and mentor, speaking to crowds from all over the world and inspiring them.
