It’s been over a year and a half since the last solo concert in New York of the legendary Ukrainian singer Serhiy Babkin. Much has changed in the life and career of the artist during this time. Serhiy has been tirelessly working on new music, and the number of songs released during this period is truly impressive. The mini-album “Beyond Ourselves,” the radio hit “Unbreakable,” the dreamy single “About Days,” the dedication to Ukrainian defenders “127MA,” Ukrainian versions of the classic 5’nizza track “Soldier,” one of the most famous solo songs “Take,” collaboration with world music stars Dave Stewart and Stevie Nicks on “Face to Face,” a collection of the best compositions from a 20-year career that includes previously unreleased tracks – this is far from a complete list of what Babkin has released in the second half of 2022 and 2023.
The singer managed to record all this incredible amount of music amidst a tight touring schedule. He tirelessly performs charitable concerts around the world, having already played more than 100 concerts in dozens of countries in Europe and America. The proceeds from these concerts are mostly directed to charitable funds that support the affected resients of his native Kharkiv region and the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the city of Kharkov.
