The Talented DJ Pereira: Putting a Spotlight on Spanish DJs

Becoming a famous disc jockey may seem like child’s play to the uninitiated. Some naysayers would even go as far as to claim that succeeding in the industry requires no talent. However, these assumptions could not be farther from reality. After all, the music scene has an extraordinarily demanding and cutthroat environment. As such, it takes someone highly skilled and dedicated in order to stand out in a sea of aspiring individuals, someone like DJ Pereira.

The 27-year-old is one of the fastest-rising musicians on the East Coast. He is a Heavy Hitter DJ and La X 96.3 NYC Radio DJ. Additionally, he is a brand ambassador For 50 Cent’s cognac and liquor company, Branson Cognac.

Although raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, the Colombian always proudly represents his roots and honors his heritage. In fact, his artist name pays homage to Pereira City, where his family is from.

What fans love about the gifted young man is his infectious energy when performing, which is sure to excite the crowd. Because of his incredible artistry, the DJ has amassed a considerable following of more than 60,000 on Instagram. In addition, the musician was named DJ of the year in NYC and NJ by four different prestigious organizations in 2021.

On top of that, his new track “Stephanie” quickly became viral in several states and even in other countries. Furthermore, the song’s catchphrase “Stephanie is that You” has made its way to every Bad Bunny concert as the opening DJs play it all the time.

Aside from these impressive accolades, DJ Pereira is also the only disc jockey within the tristate area to do block parties. These epic events happened all over New Jersey and featured international artists. Not only that, but they are free for all.

As a result, the remarkable young man’s audience has grown even bigger. His show in La X 96.3 Hora Del Perreo has become the station’s #1 program, and the numbers keep increasing. Furthermore, the parties turned out to be a worldwide sensation and were called Guaracha Land, “A Fusion Of House Music with Spanish Riddims,” and fans even hailed DJ Pereira as the Guaracha King.

Most impressively, he became a highly recognized public figure who is known for popularizing the new reggaeton from Colombia. The genre immediately grew into the hottest sensation in the city and helped put a spotlight on artists like Blessd, Ryan Castro, and Feid.

To keep the ball rolling, DJ Pereira has already scheduled more upcoming events. On April 16, he will be performing in Mamajuana Cafe Queens. He even plans on organizing a grander and much bigger block party on May 15. Of course, it will still be free and geared towards bringing the community together.

Through DJ Pereira’s efforts, he is helping put Spanish DJs on the map. Moving forward, the inspiring young man sees himself becoming the biggest Spanish disc jockey in the United States. But above all, he intends to continue his advocacy of bringing his peers to the forefront of the music industry.
