The Gore Boyz Bring Pop and R&B into the MIX to Set a New Standard for Boy Bands

Throughout the rich history of music, boy bands have been gracing the stage and audience with music primarily written to sweep girls off their feet. While they have typically been pegged as bands like The Jackson 5 and The Beatles, it wasn’t until the 90s that these groups have been referred to as boy bands, spurning collectives like Boyz II Men, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and more. The 2010s would see the resurgence of boy bands like One Direction, Big Time Rush, and BTS. Continuing the tradition in the 2020s is up-and-coming boy band The Gore Boyz.

Based in Gastonia, North Carolina, The Gore Boyz is a collective that consists of brothers Herman, Edwin, and Sean Michael. With an age range of 15 to 20, the brothers have built their experience and reputation in the music scene for almost a decade. Throughout their time on stage so far, they have shown that they can play instruments, dance, and sing various genres of music.

Despite their focus on making it in the music industry, the brothers still understand the importance of education. The eldest and middle, Herman Gore III and Edwin are currently enrolled at Morehouse College in Atlanta, while Sean Michael attends Gaston County’s public schools. While they are academically gifted, the Gore Boyz are also active in their community, projecting an optimistic attitude in their endeavors.

The Gore Boyz currently signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation Records-owned digital streaming service Equity Distribution. A prominent platform, Equity Distribution, signs agreements with artists to distribute their music to more than a hundred other streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

As musicians, the Boyz continue the tradition of boy bands sweeping girls off the street. So when the production team inquired about their interest, they immediately shifted the topic to girls. Working with what they know, the team pulled together a track that was relevant and apt to capture the audience. Like many of their listeners, the Gore Boyz are at the age where dating is a new exploration. Using that knowledge, the boy band creates music that allows people to have fun, which is what they want their craft to be about and delivers clean, quality music that can stand the test of time.

“The goal of our music is to spread positivity and let others know that you can do anything if you put your mind to it,” revealed the boy band.

What makes the Gore Boyz so unique as a boy band is that they are one of the few collectives that delve into the Pop and R&B genre. “We are groomed in true Motown style since 2009,” they shared. “TGB is a blend of new and old school in the vein of Boyz II Men and The Jackson 5 with a bit of Justin Bieber mixed in. We make R&B music that appeals to pop audiences of all ages.”

The Gore Boyz recently received the prestigious Akademia Music Award Pop Artist of the Year and Best Pop Song for 2020. With their career still in its early stage, the boy band is enthusiastic about taking their craft to the next level and become the biggest names in the music industry.
