Tayler Scharg Transforms the South Florida Nightlife Scene with His Magic Touch

Fort Lauderdale has not always been known for its exciting nightlife scene. Oversaturated with commercial locations such as the well-known Las Olas avenue, the South Florida scene did not really have much going for it. In the hopes of finally putting his hometown on the map and helping the nightlife flourish, Tayler Scharg partnered up with Corey Blank to change Fort Lauderdale forever.

In 2017, the thriving business partners established their well-renowned sports bar, 27 Bar and Lounge, which quickly rose to prominence, adding an exciting and dynamic aspect to the lives of Fort Lauderdale natives. 27 cemented its place in the nightlife scene as a fun-loving and mentally stimulating avenue for people from all walks of life. Its name pays homage to the many famous icons who lost their lives at the age of 27 and hopes to embody the same greatness as these esteemed individuals.

Through Tayler and Corey’s relentless passion, impeccable work ethic, and laser-focused determination, 27 saw record turnouts replicating the massive success of legends such as Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse. “The vibe of 27 is iconic, which is only sensible since it was inspired by some real icons. Tayler does an incredible job of conveying a dope vibe throughout 27 that you won’t find at just any bar. From top down through the staff everyone who works there makes you feel like you’re in the right place,” said Beau Bucci.

Riding on the waves of his massive success, Tayler Scharg sought to innovate more locations and create an empire beyond what South Florida already knew. Shortly after opening 27, he went on to create more establishments that brought industrialization to the once purely residential area of Flagler Village. Tayler’s creative projects from then on would quickly carry over the success that he had while building his exciting vision for his hometown.

As a full-fledged entrepreneur of hospitality, Tayler Scharg continued to grow his ambitions and released a new creative project year after year. “Since he first became an entrepreneur, Tayler has shown the most relentless effort. He always gives 100% in all aspects of his life, and I believe that has been the driving force to all his entrepreneurial ventures,” said Beau Bucci.

Within a short walking distance from 27, visitors can enjoy two of Tayler Scharg’s more recent projects called The Good Times Only Speakeasy and Rose Nightclub. The esteemed entrepreneur’s creative vision is wholly apparent when first stepping into these renowned establishments. Passersby can enjoy the distinct Tayler Scharg brand through the interior design and aesthetic as they journey through the prohibition-style speakeasy into an elegant and sultry nightclub.

“The interior design work at all of Tayler’s establishments are unique and meticulous in the best way possible. Every detail from 27 to Rose and GTO is so carefully thought out. They all have such distinguishing qualities, yet somehow they manage to mesh so well together, it will blow your mind. When you walk into any of them, it feels like you’ve entered a portal into another world, and each one is like a great escape,” said Cori Pappas.

Nowadays, Tayler Scharg is the CEO of his own hospitality group, TS Hospitality. He continues to open new doors for those in the hospitality industry, both literally and figuratively. The renowned nightlife mogul hopes to grow his brand beyond the scope of his promising industry. In the near future, he hopes to coach and mentor aspiring hospitality professionals to achieve unprecedented levels of success.

“It’s so fulfilling to see all the opportunities that can stem from chasing after one dream and sticking with it until you realize your capability. I’m at a point now where I have hotel owners reaching out to curate new concepts and expand the empire my colleagues and I have created. I didn’t foresee this much opportunity when I first started out, but I couldn’t be more ready to seize it. Heed my words when I tell you that Fort Lauderdale is set for expansion, and the sky’s the limit,” shared Tayler Scharg.
