As of April 2024, artificial intelligence (AI)–powered search engines had become the preferred tool for online exploration among most teens in the United States, with 20 percent using them daily. Additionally, 27 percent of U.S. teens reported turning to chatbots for daily searches, while 20 percent utilized AI tools for image generation. These statistics underscore the growing influence of AI-driven tools in shaping how younger generations interact with technology.
This surge in AI adoption reflects the broader trajectory of the global AI market, which is currently valued at over $196 billion. With industry projections forecasting a 13-fold increase over the next six years, AI’s impact will only intensify, presenting both opportunities and challenges.
Amid this transformative wave, Rohan Hall, founder and CEO of Code Genie AI and the Ninja CEO Foundation, stands out as a visionary leader dedicated to connecting technological advancements with underserved communities. Born in Jamaica and now residing in Irvine, California, Rohan’s inspiring journey from humble beginnings to becoming a global technology executive highlights his resilience, ambition, and commitment to uplifting others. With deep expertise in AI, he empowers Black and Brown youth to realize their potential and succeed in an ever-evolving, technology-driven world.
A Global Perspective Shaped by Life’s Journey
Rohan Hall’s story begins in Kingston, Jamaica, and unfolds across seven countries and more than 50 others he has visited. Growing up in Montego Bay, he recalls a joy-filled childhood despite economic challenges. His life changed dramatically when he moved to Miami at age 13. Settling in a tough neighborhood, Washington Park, exposed him to crime and racial inequality. Yet, his parents’ emphasis on education provided a guiding light, helping him see it as a path to a better life.
As a first-generation immigrant, Rohan pursued education with determination, inspiring his family and many others. Today, his extended family boasts lawyers, doctors, artists, and military leaders. He attributes much of his drive to his mother, whose unyielding thirst for knowledge and adventurous spirit deeply influenced him. Mentors like a Black CIO at Corning and visionaries like Bill Gates inspired him to dream big, break barriers, and strive for excellence.
Rohan’s career spans influential roles at global enterprises like Oracle, HP, and the American Red Cross. Known for his expertise in emerging technologies, he has developed innovations such as Traffic Monster.ai, an SEO-driven content engine; Podcast Monster.ai, which monetizes podcast content across platforms; and MyAiGuy.ai, an AI platform marketing agencies use to create and distribute content across social media for their clients. As a published author and corporate educator, Rohan has simplified complex technologies for leaders worldwide, making advanced concepts like AI accessible.
His professional achievements, however, are only part of the story. Deeply moved by his experiences growing up amid economic challenges and racial inequities, Rohan founded the Ninja CEO Foundation in 2024. The foundation’s mission is to empower Black and Brown youth by equipping them with tools to thrive in a technology-dominated world. Rohan sees this as a way to pay forward his opportunities, bridging the gap between underserved communities and industry leaders.
Ninja CEO Foundation: Bridging Two Worlds
Rohan has launched programs through the Ninja CEO Foundation that blend technology, education, and mentorship to create real change. One standout project is the Ninja CEO Podcast, where he interviews leaders who share their journeys—stories of triumph, failure, and lessons learned. These interviews aren’t just inspiring; they’re shared with underprivileged communities to give young people access to role models they can relate to. The foundation also offers advanced AI education courses to ensure underserved communities have the skills to thrive in the digital world.
To expand the foundation’s reach, Rohan is partnering with global organizations like Kiva.org, which supports financial inclusion in underserved areas, and TechWomen, a program empowering women in STEM fields across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and Street Lights, which advocate for social and economic equality by providing viable career pathways for under-served men and women who may not have a solid education base or stable work history. Platforms like Traffic Monster, MyAIGuy.ai, and Podcast Monster also play a key role in sustaining the foundation’s efforts by raising awareness, generating funding, and supporting its educational programs.
Rohan dreams of a world where technology is a tool for inclusivity and empowerment. He often reflects on modern technology’s immense opportunities: “Today, a young adult in Africa without shoes can speak to a mobile phone and access more information than a Harvard student. It’s like magic—but they don’t know how to use it yet. Let’s teach them. Let’s empower them.” This belief has driven Rohan to make serious sacrifices. Over the past two years, he’s sold assets, borrowed money, and even taken on side gigs to bootstrap his technologies and the foundation—all because he’s determined to make this vision a reality.
For Rohan, the Ninja CEO Foundation isn’t just another venture—it’s his life’s work. He’s committed to breaking down systemic barriers and helping young Black and Brown individuals see their potential and achieve it. His advice to others in tech is simple but profound: Use your expertise to make a difference. He believes that when we connect with communities that lack access to resources and help them unlock their potential, we set off a ripple effect that changes lives.
The foundation’s mission is clear: to give underprivileged people the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive in a technology-powered world. Or, as Rohan likes to say, “Be agile like a ninja, think like a CEO.“
With his unique blend of expertise and lived experience, Rohan has built a platform that helps underserved communities discover their technology superpower. His ultimate vision? A future where young adults—no matter their race or background—can succeed in the digital age, transforming their own lives and the world around them.
