Maria Lebedev is the creator of Rock’n’Roll history & music analysis blog Another Dime In The Jukebox. Since discovering punk, hard rock, and glam metal at the age of 14, she has been obsessed with Rock ‘n’ Roll music. She absolutely fell in love with The Runaways and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ music when she was 18 years old. Her passion in rock music grew even more after reading the biographies of Cherie Currie (“Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway”) and Anthony Kiedis (“Scar Tissue”).Born in Russia, Maria Lebedev moved to United States when she was 10. At the the age of 18 she moved to Los Angles from East Coast. In the Fall of 2018, Maria attended Santa Monica College to take fashion classes. In March 2019, She was hired as an Associate Designer by Brixcraft.Inc, a company that creates luxurious kitchen designs in the Euro style. Since the summer of 2019, she has also been enrolled at The School of Rock West LA, where she is learning how to sing Rock ‘n’ Roll.
After ten years of residing in Los Angeles, Maria has had the opportunity to travel to a number of iconic Rock’n’Roll venues, including Whiskey a Go Go, The Viper Room, Rainbow Bar and Grill, Andaz West Hollywood, and many more. She started Another Dime In The Jukebox in February 2021 with a series of articles detailing the life of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious, The thousands of likes that the terrible circumstances of the iconic punk rocker’s brief life received motivated Maria to continue sharing her love of Rock’n’Roll through daily updates. Another Dime In The Jukebox has gathered nearly 4.5k Instagram followers within the last couple of years. The blog is a vast collection of rockstar biographies such as Elvis Presley, The Doors, and Red Hot Chili Peppers and posts about the best guitarists of all time, news on rockstar marriages, etc.
Maria’s deep passion for rock music is demonstrated by her reading rock star bios, viewing rock ‘n’ roll biopics, listening to her favorite rock musicians, and, of course, gathering information for Another Dime In The Jukebox. Recently, she launched a YouTube channel for Another Dime In The Jukebox where Maria Lebedev posted interview videos of rock ‘n’ roll artists. So far the channel has posted four interview videos. The interviews are a series of analyses like what influenced them to get into rock ‘n’ roll and what inspires them and are their current plans.
Maria Lebedev is looking forward to studying more about rock ‘n’ roll and sharing her thoughts through Another Dime In The Jukebox. She is also planning to become a rock ‘n’ roll artist.
