People say a mother will stop at nothing to provide the best for her children. Zelina Knight, better known as Zee Vega in the music industry, considers herself an “every woman,” having landed many professional careers. Still, her passion for music prevails above all else as she saw how it is leaving a positive impact on her children’s lives.
Zee Vega has led the life of a career woman working in various corporations, including being a postal worker and health care professional. Despite the multiple career moves, she found herself going back to music. Zee began singing for her local church while simultaneously providing pastoral mentoring services to anyone in need. Making music and helping people come as naturally as breathing for the artist, and she aims to inspire listeners across the globe with her narrative.
Even with her many endeavors, Zee Vega was able to make time to create music. Today, she is an author, artist, songwriter, and CEO of her upcoming company called Golden Triangle Productionz. Using her past experiences and educational background as a healthcare manager, Zee aims to tell a story that music lovers have yet to be heard.
During the pandemic, Zee Vega has released a musical EP called The Bond. Following the success of her hit single entitled “I’ll Be Waiting,” the artist is driven more than ever to impact the world positively. Zee wants her life to be seen as an inspirational looking-glass that could enlighten souls globally. As a professional and a single mother, the artist has genuinely walked the path of everyday living, including its pains. Now she plans to use music as a channel to reach out to those in need of advice.
Years back, Zee Vega had to cope with the emotional and physical tolls when her former husband suffered a stroke. She cared for her until he was well enough to care for himself again, but her husband left as soon as it happened. Zee had to stand stronger as she was left to care for their four children. With the fighting spirit of a woman who has been through some of the most taxing challenges life has to offer, the artist thrived as a parent and a musician.
With all the pain she experienced, music became an outlet for release. Additionally, Zee Vega shared how music is uplifting her children, specifically her ten-year-old son with autism. He may be struggling in terms of speech, but the artist realized that music is indeed a universal language as it helped her son communicate with the world around him. Ever since young, Zee has nurtured his growth with lullabies in response to good behavior. With the resources she has today, Zee wants to go above and beyond in helping others who need music as a coping mechanism.
Besides working on her independent studio and writing songs, Zee Vega is also releasing an upcoming podcast called The Queen’s Corner. It will soon captivate listeners across the globe through all major platforms, bearing the narrative of the “every woman,” who appears to have done it all. Zee also plans on releasing her memoir called I Forgive. All her efforts are geared towards building an inspiring legacy, not only in her hometown in Trenton, NJ but around the world.
“I believe my gifts are too lengthy for me to contain for myself. They must be shared with the world,” said Zee Vega. Besides pursuing her music career, the artist also aspires to enlighten people as an ambassador, helping individuals rebuild their lives and country. “Although I am an inspiring artist, I would like to complete humanitarian work abroad with my family. I wouldn’t limit myself to one career because the world is full of work. There’s not telling where my help may be needed in the future,” Zee said.
With her optimistic view of the world, Zee Vega is genuinely building a better future, inspiring others to grow through their challenges. To learn more about the multifaceted artist, visit her on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
