An innumerable combination of factors can serve as the impetus behind a person’s all-out attitude toward making a name for themselves in their target fields. Some are driven by the overarching goal of establishing a financially stable future, while others barrel through all the barriers without hesitation, fueled by the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. In the case of RTC, a promising producer, rapper, engineer, and vocalist, leaving a mark has always stood as the mission at the core of his initiatives. Armed with such a dream, this versatile artist is currently pouring his heart into his craft, hoping to not only secure a coveted spot at the forefront of the music scene but also inspire people who are embarking on their own journey to success.
Growing up, RTC was always told never to think small. Pushed to dream big and surrounded by supportive family members and friends, he set his eyes on entering the world of music production.
“At the time, I did not have all the equipment I have now—not even a computer,” he recalled. “I started on my phone and GarageBand, making my own sounds and melodies.” But, despite the humble beginnings, the talented self-starter managed to rise, thanks to the power of passion and perseverance.
In the years since he first dipped his toes in the industry, RTC has reached multiple milestones and demonstrated incredible artistry that focuses on quality. Unlike the growing number of singers nowadays whose efforts are geared toward expanding their catalog, he places a heavier premium on putting out top-notch music, even if it means waiting a couple of months—or even a year—before releasing another track.
The mind behind the projects ANEMIC and July 2nd, RTC has been involved in numerous collaborations, forming ties with some of the most prominent names in the industry like Young Dolph, Gunna, and Don Toliver. His songs “My Time” and “New Lane” were products of a creative partnership between this must-watch musician and the Grammy-nominated producer Ramyonthebeat.
Today, RTC is balancing his time between showcasing his arsenal of skills as a rapper and vocalist and helping other artists create good music. As a producer, he lends fellow musicians a hand in engineering their sounds and perfecting their discography. So far, he’s left his mark in various projects, including the 2019 Mercvry’s Redstone album by Mercvry, an artist under the wing of RTC’s company, Respecttruecolor.
On February 18, this go-getter is expected to reach greater heights with the release of “Uncut Gems,” a track inspired by the Adam Sanders film Uncut Gems. Highly anticipated, the song will bear the distinctive production skills of the certified platinum producer Pyrex and will clearly highlight RTC’s potential to become a future mainstay in an industry known for its cut-throat and saturated nature.
Through dedication, grit, and a deep-seated love for the craft, RTC has succeeded in surviving and thriving in the music scene. But, despite snagging multiple accomplishments under his belt over the years, he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Apart from dropping top-notch quality tracks and producing songs that listeners can add to their favorites, he hopes to urge aspiring musicians forward, sending across the message that any dream can be translated into reality so long as they persevere and remain passionate.
