24-year old Jonny Cutuli is the rising TikTok sensation that seemed to gain his fame in the wink of an eye. Born and raised in Aci Catena, Sicily, the Italian influencer is known for his humorous content, wit, and uplifting stories.
Once a regular university student trying to make ends meet while staying academically above the water, Jonny Cutuli is the latest TikTok star with a staggering 1.2 million followers on the platform. So, how did he do it?
“I started making TikToks back in March 2020, during the first worldwide lockdown,” he shares. “I was facing a dark period in my life; indeed, I was depressed because I was recently fired from a business company I used to work for.” He turned to TikTok.
“Before the social media platform, I had no reasons to get up from my bed; I didn’t have any goals to achieve. Everything was black for me. It was like my life was in a “pause” mode, waiting for something to happen. But the truth is nothing happens if you don’t do anything to make it happen.”
Jonny Cutuli first got on the application as a joke. At the time, TikTok was at its peak, with the platform exploding in downloads in Italy and worldwide. Although it was initially meant to be an entertaining pastime, Jonny became fascinated with the process as his videos were slowly being pushed onto the “For You” page.
Jonny then hit the books. Familiarizing himself with how the algorithm worked and improving his work quality by applying strategies he developed led Jonny Cutuli to his first viral video. A month after joining the social media application, he was the proud creator of a video rapidly earning a whopping two million views in less than 24 hours.
“I couldn’t even imagine that,” he says in awe. As soon as the numbers kept rising, the enterprising creative gained 100,000 followers in a blink, and overnight, he became a TikTok star.
Building on his success and constantly perfecting his formula, Jonny remained consistent and determined in his content and release schedule – later revealing that these two traits are his anchor to relevance. “Sometimes, it takes ten years to get that one year that will change your life. Just keep going, remain consistent.”
While growing his outstanding success on the platform, Jonny displays overwhelming gratitude for everything that has gotten him this far. The driven TikTok sensation is currently working on a book or an online course where he will be dropping all the secrets and tips that have guided him to accomplishment.
Jonny Cutuli is also planning to launch his highly-anticipated TikTok account designed to cater to his American audience. There, he will be expanding his horizons and releasing English content only.
