Texas-based rising hip-hop artist Marco Cxupreme is making 2021 a phenomenal year for his career as he gets ready to release a new studio album. The versatile artist is best known for his vast musical taste, enabling him to create songs that cut across several genres, from hip-hop to pop, among others. Fans of his distinct voice are looking forward to hearing his new songs that are expected to feature exciting spins of familiar styles.
Born and raised in Pleasant Grove, Dallas, Texas, Marco Cxupreme takes pride in his musical influences that include Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Maroon 5, Erykah Badu, Kendrick Lamar, The Game, Ludacris, Z-Ro, UGK, and Death Row, to mention a few. From these influences, he was able to create his own unique style that carries occasional surprises that captures the Triple D Boogie sound.
His first exposure to music started when he was singing in the church choir at a very young age. It was when he encountered hip-hop music, however, that his passion caught fire, inspiring him to write lyrics as young as seven years old. His lyrical skills became even more pronounced over time. He would engage in freestyle activities growing up, but he was always inclined to go back to the traditional pen and paper method of writing songs.
For a season in his life, Marco Cxupreme engaged heavily in sports as he also aspired to be a professional athlete. In the end, it was music that inspired him more, and he decided to pursue a career in it in his 20s. Initially, he went by the stage name Marvelous M.C. when he released his first album called Harmonic Kaos in 2019. In 2020, he released a shorter version of it using his current stage name.
“The greatest thing about my music is that it comes directly from the heart,” Marco reveals. “I don’t fabricate or enhance my stories to make me seem more street. I’m not portraying a character that has basically been duplicated all throughout hip-hop. I am genuinely me. Whatever comes out in my music, whether it’s a vibe, a lituation, a conflict, or an emotion, it’s all real. Not only that, I can make a song with just about any rack, whether it’s fast or slow, trap or vibe, club or pop. I can make it sound like a Marco Cxupreme song,” he adds.
Aside from being a phenomenal music artist, he is also a rising entrepreneur. He co-founded the independent record company Live Dynasty Entertainment together with his business partner Marvin Williams. Marco Cxupreme is one of the artists under the record company, along with Tru Bank$ and Elexis Tx. One of his objectives is to work hard enough to make his company one of the premiere labels in the music business in the next few years. Through it, he and his business partner hope to provide an avenue for new artists to stretch their creativity and talents.
On a personal level, Marco sees himself doing a lot of charity work in the future, including helping out in programs that reach out to the youth. He also envisions himself changing the culture of the music industry, owning an event center, running several businesses, investing in new ventures, and becoming a positive influence on people.
