Growing up, Malik moved around from apartment to apartment and state to state. Originally born in the Bronx, New York, he relocated to North Carolina when he was a teenager. Following the success of his latest album, French Tips & Russian Cremes, Malik has recently released a single entitled “Solo.” Ever since its launch, the song has been continuously gaining a lot of traction on different streaming platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and Soundcloud. “Solo” was also co-signed by rapper Gillie Da Kid, further serving as a testament to Malik’s talent. Additionally, he is gradually amassing a number of followers on Twitter and Instagram.

Malik’s greatest source of inspiration in his pursuit of success is his family and the opportunity to help them live comfortably. “Seeing my family and loved ones happy and being able to provide a life for them that we ain’t never been accustomed to motivates me,” he shared.  

Like other artists, Malik also experienced uncertainty with the career he chose when he was still a budding artist. However, he did not let his worries stop him and instead harnessed the negative feelings to improve. “Doubt and being counted out got me to where I am now,” he said. 

Fueled by his experiences, Malik continuously expresses his authenticity through music and is set on establishing an identity through the tracks he produces. In addition to his undeniable talent, his sheer tenacity and attitude towards the obstacles he had to face have pushed him to become the best at what he does right now.
